We're now playing "Anniversary" - and yes, I know, Legend was released before this. BUT I heard that chronologically, this comes first, so I decided to start with this. Hope you'll enjoy my first playthrough of this game!

I always thought the cutscene with Pierre was pretty clever. He throws his voice in the room making Lara unsure of where he is, as a reference to him popping out of nowhere and then disappearing in the first game.

In case anyone didn't told it, fun fact for you Lizz: when you facing long "corridors" in this game, it means it's loading the next rooms rendering. There's why you've said "it changed colors", because the area is adapting the lighting and everything else wherever you go with Lara.😉

@@Nibgames I played the OG Trilogy Remastered, their DLCs and then Anniversary, Legend and Underworld. So there is a LOT if you want. I will play the "Survival" Trilogy too eventually. And I heard there are plans for the other trilogy to get Remasters as well.

There is a limit to how much ammo Lara can carry. That's why you couldn't pick up those shotgun shells, as you were already maxed out. Also, the game won't let you go to Lara's home when you start it up because the Peru level is now considered the tutorial level. Once you make a save game, you can now select Lara's home.

You can access Croft manor from the very start, she just missed it in the main menu, you can check part 1

I actually did go to Croft Manor, but I cut it out of the video. I tried around, didn't know how to play and chat told me the tutorial is Peru, so I will do Croft Manor later!

When you climb up poles you don't have to align up Lara she will jump through the pole in the direction of where you face the camera.

I love how all the enemies announce themselves with their screams and shrieks. This trilogy is much more accommodating than the old one (I guess it's mainly "modern gaming" though).

I feel so far, almost everything is more challenging than the OG haha. Combat, puzzles, climbing.. But I also think a lot of that is because the tutorial I had was for M&Kb and I have no clue how half the things work haha. Still have to master the rage-dodge-hits

The reason Lare didn't pick up the loot is because in this game there is a limit to the amount of ammo she can carry for each type of gun.

For me, a loot-a-holic, a huge problem. But I accepted it.

I love this game it's like TR1 but so much smoother and easier to move and complete tasks and of course Lara looks so much better and sexy, plus all the extra movements and capabilities she has is such a welcome, the checkpoint system and and auto aim is great and no walking off ledges to your death, plus well lit loot, you can tell a lot of the old frustrating problems were solved making for a much more enjoyable game, I'm glad your enjoying the game and I'm enjoying watching you play it

BUT it is also quite hard at some points to be fair. The puzzles are sometimes brain-wrecking haha. BUT I also slept poorly last night, maybe that's what made me struggle today. (upcoming Parts 5 and 6)

Well you want the game to be challenging or it would be boring, besides your doing just fine, it can be hard sometimes but at least it doesn't have all the frustrating issues with the originals, don't get me wrong I loved the originals, I'm just saying it was nice of them to improve the game, let's you focus more on the story, and it looks great too

what do you think of the extra bits of lore in the anniversary? the extra cutscenes and that it's also about lara's father

I liked the OG Remaster a lot, but I also thought that it lacks a bit of background and lore around Lara to explain her dedication and motivation to go through all this madness.. Giving her more personality and context, I like it actually! And we get to hear her talk more often!

@@LIZZgame Honestly I have barely gotten in more than ten hours. I can't go watching too much until I get all the good surprises out of the way. Probably gonna see The Forest or The Last of Us. The latter I've beaten, the first not hardly even played, but I like crafting games. Is it a game I need to personally experience instead of watching?

So you know, I wouldn't hold my breath for any more remasters. AoD is out of the question, Aspyr have already said as much. And for TLR and Chronicles it's very unlikely they would get their own release, especially now given how bad relations seem to have gotten between Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics.

For me anniversary is the best tomb raider game ever made. You have to play legend first because it's before anniversary. Legend is far shorter and far easier. Anniversary is a very difficult game towards the ending and it's a long game. You are playing very poorly and you won't be able to finish the game-you don't know the controls yet.

Ah well, look here. Another non-believer who doubts my stubbornness. Thousands of people claimed I won't finish the TR I-III Remastered games, especially not with the modern controls. But I did, even the DLCs. And yet here I am, in the Natla mines, ready to finish Anniversary tomorrow. :)
