Hunting Colorado: GMUs 35, 25 & 26

The hack lake trail head is as far as it goes. For roads the road to the trail head is weather permits if you are there and it rains or snows id just stay most of it would be OK but there's like 250 yards that has a steep edge on one side and an adventure 4x4 won't climb it after a good wet snow it's slick it would be dangerous to come down it .any more questions just ask

Does sheep creek have vehicle access all the way to turret lake? or do you have to hike into hack lake?

I been there a few times the sheep creek rd that heads to hack lake west fork sheep creek there's a sign saying it is gated private land that east fork sheep creek rd will get you up in elevation but you will be severely miles away from it there's a rough trail with signs along the way .there's a lot of atv / 4x4 trails weather permits you might get closer. I didn't see that other lake on my map if I find it I will drop a comment if I think it will help.

Did you drive all the way back to Hack Lake? How was that road, traverseable in a 4x4 pickup?

All the elk in 35 went up into 24 . Draw that archery tag. No points! Maybe one or two...
