Funny story, Larry was the first character to ever help me when I was going through my transition. Me being a long dark brown haired feminine looking person, Larry was the first character that I found who was a guy who looked similar to me. I quickly became obsessed (in a healthy way) with his character, and joking around that I was Larry irl. Over time, looking in the mirror became something I stopped avoiding, and I adapted to Larry’s clothing style. I wasn’t trying to actually be the character, I was just finding ways to be less feminine. Cutting my hair wasn’t really an option, considering I was about 14 at the time, and Native American (it’s against our culture to cut our hair which sucks when you are trans) Anyway, attempting to be more like Larry helped bring up my confidence by so much, and looking back on it, he’s probably the main reason I have good mental health and confidence now.

I didn’t give a shit about that tradition and thought it was stupid af, but she yelled at me every time I brought up the idea of getting a haircut. Only recently I was finally able to cut my hair because my mom got over herself, and even though she threw a fit, I’m much happier and more comfortable with myself now. But yea it still sucked, and messed up, and I hated that she didn’t let me be my own person, but I couldn’t do anything about it at the time without her screaming at me

Since our protagonist is an undeveloped child, and has pigtails, we assume he's a girl until dialogue proves otherwise- Miss Rosenberg uses phrases like "little girl," but that's because she's making the same assumption we did and nobody's corrected her. This tactic keeps with the trend of us continually questioning what we think we know about the title character.

I know this is old as hell, but I think Sally got mauled by the ' dog ', and so that's why he has to wear a mask. I think the dog was actually a wolf, because they were in the woods and it was all alone, and probably howling and growling in the undergrowth. So Sally got mauled, and his mother probably got attacked too, and then she went into a never ending coma, and that is how she died and how Sally got his mask. He's been much warier ever since. :/ Edit: You could see a broken collar when Sally was walking through the streets with a bloody face, so maybe it was an escapee dog, like a feisty German Shepherd or something with big, triangle ears. Take note that I am saying ' i think ' and ' maybe ' and ' probably ' a lot, this is just a theory please don't kill me. Thanks for reading this :) Edit ( again ): Went back to the scene and saw a handbag with its items scattered around. That probably is a symbol saying that his mother got mauled too. She did say she would get her purse and come with him, so she probably got knocked down or she dropped it to run to Sally. Then there was a big ambulance, which i forgot to mention, so some other person in the woods ( maybe a DOG WALKER ) saw them and phoned.
