In Brazil there are many words in English in Portuguese and even change the original meaning. Lanche (from the English "Lunch") is "sanduíche", that is, basically a bread with something inside. The basic coxinha is made with minced chicken. The one you saw with a bone sticking out is called "coxinha creme" (cream) and is made with a whole chicken leg previously cooked and creamier dough. This video made me really hungry!! For rainy season my mom makes us "bolinho de chuva", which translates literally to rain cakes. It is a deep fried sweet cake, the one my mom makes has banana in the batter and it is really delicious!

Maaan, you just gone past the Mercadão where you can get the best sandwiches in the city. They have the most famous sanduiche de mortadela and also they have the famous Pastel de Bacalhau. You should definitely give it a go! apart from all the fruits stands in there. It's the Big Old Yellow building that was behind you guys at the beginning of this video! ;) I never miss a chance to eat in there when I go to SP!

My family always cook canjica when it's a rainy day, and usually the winter. Canjica is sweet, it's a kind of white corn that is cooked with milk, coconut milk and condensed milk, and gets really creamy. A bit of cinnamon on top and you have a really warm food.

Few tips of SP. Spend one full day only at Avenida Paulista visiting restaurants and museums, it's really well worth. Book in advance the restaurants at museums as Sesc, Masp, IMS , Japanese house, a few good famous restaurants. Also a day in Liberdade there are an array of Asian foods from Thai to Korean and of course Japanese cuisine. You have to dig in there and look for the good traditional places, food is always a good surprise. There's a neighbourhood in SP called Vila Madalena, it's a bohemian region with lots of botecos, chopperias and night clubs, good to spend an afternoon and extend till late hours, there's a lot to do there. A small town to visit very close to SP is Embu das Artes, very cute full of street arts and artesian markets, can visit in a day trip, Saturday is a good day, not far off. Last but not least go to a steak house, the best of Brazil are in SP. My tip would be go to Fogo de Chão it's an international famous steak house. Enjoy our beautiful Sampa

The cheese in the Ponto Chic Bauru is actually a cheese sauce/cream made from four types of cheese cooked with white wine. Kinda like fondue.

Trocaram só o rosbife??? então tu não conhece a receita original do Bauru. Bauru e Misto são estremamente diferentes. O legítimo bauru é composto de 1 pão francês fresco, 1 fatia de cada queijo: prato, estepe, gouda e suíço, 5 fatias de rosbife, 2 rodelas de tomate e Picles de pepino. E detalhe, os queijos devem ser derretidos na água quente.

Every time I have an opportunity in São Paulo I go to "Bom Gosto" restaurant, right at the São Bento Station. I recommend getting one "Bauru Artur" and one "Bauru Adão" and sharing. Both are great spins on the original Bauru.

São Paulo is known as the "Land of Drizzle", we are in spring and at that time, we usually say that sometimes we have 4 seasons in a single day. It must be because of the tropic of capricorn along with El Niño. My advice is to keep an eye on the weather forecast because in São Paulo there are many points of flooding and this can spoil your tour. You could visit the most beautiful beaches in São Paulo, before going to Rio. Ubatuba has the best beaches with natural pools and islands... then you go to the historic city of Parati that already belongs to Rio de Janeiro.

talking about food and sandwich: I would recomend the Z-Deli sandwich, at Rua Pinheiros and the Osnir Hamburguer, near the Praça da Arvore subway station. They are mostly hamburguers but the Z-Deli has some nice menu (good teas and fries) and Osnir is really traditional (since 1969). And if you want some gelattos and ice-cream made of brazilian fruits , the Mari di Sapore, at Pinheiros/Vila Madalena has it. Bacuri, Butia, Cagaita, Cambuci, some fruits I didn't even know that existed

Let me be honest with you guys, every Paulistano knows Estadão pork sandwich is the best in the city, but we gonna always tell people to go after Mortadela Sandwich for a two reasons, Estadão is a tiny bar and would be a nuisanse that place packed with tourists. That Mortadella sandwich can be done in different ways, I prefer when they "cook" the mortadella like a burger, this helps to melt the fat in the mortadella and make it more delicious. If you try that, maybe you will put it in the 1st place.

If you like beer and draft beer, you have to come to Ribeirão Preto in the state of São Paulo and do the beer route and drink draft beer at Pinguim. Not to mention that there are wonderful restaurants too.

Guys you are In São Paulo for the second time enjoy your time visiting other places also, why dont you go to Vinhedo, Campos do Jordão, São Luís do Paraitinga, Águas de Lindoia, Águas de São Pedro, Santo André, São Roque, Ubatuba, Ilha bela... Go to Vitória da Conquista in Bahia and try "Galinha mista" in the 'O Conquistense' food truck! The best sanwich I had in all my life! Also stop searching for good food in SP, other states has much more to offer!

São Paulo may have all the four seasons in one day. So you should always expect some rain. If you want a sunnier weather come to Nordeste (Northeast) . In Q3 is rainy so come in April. In June we have a party called Festas Juninas, though this party is widespread in the country it comes from Nordeste, so you should have the real deal here.

You must go to Ipiranga Museum, Avenida Paulista on a sunday, Rua Augusta and Calçadão Urbanoide at night, it has a great alternative scene and lots of botecos. If you're going for sandwiches you HAVE to try the mortadela sandwich from "Casa da Mortadela" which is just around the corner from the Ponto Chic you guys were at. It's 1000x better than the Mercadão one, which is just a tourist trap.

My favorite comfort food is soup, but that's too broad, isn't it? When the days are could we usually like "caldo de frango" and also "canja" but we have many types of soups (Sopa de feijão, caldo verde, sopa de mandioca com costela, etc). I also love "escondidinho" some reagions may call it "madalena" as well, very similar to sheperds pie. As for sweet comfort food we have "bolinho de chuva" (rain cakes, as we eat them when it's rainy, you must have it with cinnamon sugar mix, unless you're allergic kkkk) and "brigadeiro de panela". If you ever come to Curitiba try "carne de onça" (jaguar meat, not literally, just a word play), "barreado", "pinhão", "feijão tropeiro", and as Brazil is multiethnic, you may find a lot of italian, german and polish cuisine down here, lasagna and pierogi are my favorites as well. We are close to christman now, it would be nice if you guys got to a traditional family gathering, it might look a lot like Thanksgiving, chuseok, chinese new year, etc a lot of good food!
