Hunting for Comics at Local Comic Convention and Shop Back-to Back!

Welcome back to the channel! Today we finally make some time to go back out into the wild to hunt for comics to help fill in our 2024 collecting goals. This trip takes us to Acworth, GA where we head to a Local Comic Convention and after visit the hosting shop!

The con made it very hard to stick to the goals but I pulled through. I had to stop myself from buying 1st Appearance of Kilowog! And in other parts of the world the angle make be referred to as dookie💩

Definitely diggin the ASM love in this one. I'm hitting ASM heavy this year. Particularly sub-100 issues. Happy comic hunting!

Thanks for sharing. Wanted to go to this show, but life got in the way. Haven’t been out to see Chris at his shop in a long time. In the process of moving and life has not been fun for months now. Hoping things will turn around soon and I can make it back out.👍

I don't collect ASM because its a bit pricey lol so I always enjoy seeing what new ASM books you pick up! Nice pickups!

All those books are good. I have a strict rule with all bronze and silver age comics to count pages and check the interior. Just wondering if you do the same. If so how do you go about it, do you ask to open it up, or do you do it like me and ask them to open it up? Do you Just ask if the book is ok on the inside and take their word? Maybe its a sub topic for a vid, if you don't have time to type all this out. Fun vid bro, cheerz!

Funny you asked this, the dealer actually offered that to me upfront if I wanted to check everything out on the interior. Usually my rule of thumb is if it’s a dealer that’s very reputable then I’ll take their word. But it’s my first time I usually “feel them out” through some small talk to see if it’s warranted to take a peek. But I also usually take a look if the book is on the pricey-er side, or looks in rough shape. Thanks for watching !
