So very nice to see you here! i've been following lovedecanters for three years and i got to know about decanters and glassware in general (and started to buy a few) because of your website. Very admirable.

Thank you, I’m pleased you enjoy my efforts. I retired last year, so decided to expand my efforts.

I picked up nominally nine of those plates the other week, but one was badly damaged so I ditched it, which left me with eight perfect Powell plates in the straw opal colourway. Also £15 strangely enough. They're very light and delicate, thinner than the ones you found I think.

Someone else mentioned that. I have a blue opal one I need to dig out of the shed to compare with.

Hi Kevin, I think those plates, although very similar Imho are too heavy for Powell. Quite a few companies made wavy plates and bowls. I handled a few Powell ones over the years and they are half the thickness of these, Cheers Wolfie

Hi, I have a blue opaline one to compare it with. They aren’t that thick though, but I will still check. Unfortunately it’s buried in boxes in my shed at the moment.

Have you tried the nearby Brackley Antiques Cellar? Looks a fair size...

I asked at the desk if I could film and they weren’t sure and asked me to write, but they didn’t respond. I suppose I should chase to make sure it’s a no.
