So, having done the math, Jack’s odds to correctly guess each daily double (with the amount of questions remaining each time) were 1/26 and 1/14. The chance of him correctly guessing the daily double in successive attempts is just the product of those two fractions, meaning Jack had a 1/364 chance (or 0.275%) of guessing the daily double correctly twice in a row (given the circumstances). For context, those are essentially the same odds as you asking a friend to pick a random day of the year and you guessing the exact day they were thinking of.

Gavin also called one out of the two daily doubles in episode 2 at 1/14 odds. So they had 1/(26*14*14) = 1/5096 odds if you only count the times they correctly guessed.

Geoff actually made less money on the last daily double that Jack guessed than he would have if it was a traditional question since he only had 1600 to wager but the question itself was a 2000 spot.

For those that din't know, Pinkerton was actually a security agency that's side-by-side with the US Marshall but also at the same time a company. Lincoln actually hired them to be his guards during the whole time the Civil War was ongoing after they defused a plot to assassinate Lincoln before the war began and even before he was POTUS. (This knowledge doesn't come from RDR2). Union Pacific on the other hand also got robbed pretty hard by Black Bart and his gang many times but then they had no stagecoaches at that time as they're all into trains. The only person that's doing stagecoaches at that time was Wells Fargo and the US Mail where Wells Fargo carries almost everything from prisoners sometimes to gold delivery and important goods delivery while US Mail, as suggests, delivers mail and parcels which also were targets for Black Bart.
