Pimped out right off the showroom floor! I have a black 97 Heritage Classic that's not quite as swanky, but it has served me well. The worst thing about it is that there were so many produced that you see them everywhere, which is definitely not the case with this Springer! Super nice bike!

I loved hearing the back story from 1988 up till 1997.....That's so cool, I've never heard that before. I tell you what that is what my 2005 looks like and I just turned over 14K miles so this being another 8 years older than mine its more than obvious that someone really loved this machine and took great care of it like we all should. I just wish I could afford a second bike, it would be nice to have a black and a white one ") Great find Todd! ~Jaime

The Great Lakes Piper I'm one of the few that would know that story. it was really something to see made up "old" springer's sell at Hollywood art parties in 89/90 for 25k a pop as fast as the guy could build them!
@thegreatlakespiper37809 жыл бұрын
That's what originally got me hooked on your videos, because you were there and done that. Some awesome info,and like you said your talking 89/90 when new Chevy camero's were $13-15K so that's amazing!

The Great Lakes Piper original Paint Knuckle's were only 10K at that time!

HuntingHarleys omg no way.....so when did that book by Greg fields come out that had Greenie in it that started the OP's craze....I'm thinking 97 but not sure. Just trying to pinpoint when the OP knucklehead's prices started to sky rocket...

this bike is sold. To those wanting to see me ride them around, that requires a driver of vehicle, a cameraman, and this thing called the money to pay them.

Love the knowledge every time thank you. I had my springer out earlier. Thing's a blast to ride and was expensive to get correct when i received it. Should i be taking it slow and easy on my springer or can it put up with some abuse? Sorry to sound like such a nub but haven't had it long and never looked into them before to be honest.

I got a 1996 heritage Softail after this come out I traded it I paid $13000 for the 96 and $15000 for this one, I sold it after one year because I was an alcoholic and was drinking and riding, I remember the vibration after an hour I couldn't feel my fingers.but they are beautiful.

Mate, I have a chance to buy a evo springer classic in the Philippines . Wish I could send you some pics. Its got all the bells n wistles. Real flame paint job. I think its 1996. I have also found an identical one here too. I just wondered if harley ever made a limited edition run of these bikes because I just cant find anything on the net about them. Maybe its just the same bike way diferent sides of the country n diferent sellers. Im at a loss atm. ? Thank you in advance, just incase you answer lol

The Springer came out in 1988. Many people turned the early Springers into a Heritage style. The actual Heritage Springer was made in limited numbers of 2 to 3 paint schemes a year 1997 to 99 of roughly 3000 units of each type

@@HuntingHarleys hey, Thank you. Do you know if they did a Real Flame paint with skulls in it? Even the hard paniers , has the tombstone tail light, all Chrome , confined rails on front fender, um, etc? Thank you so much for your reply mate : )

Just trying to help, not trying to be a smart ass but "faux" should be pronounced "foe"(like friend or "foe"). I initially pronounced it "fox" too till this hot chick corrected me many years ago. It's a French word so go figure. Love the videos bro. Have enjoyed your videos for years now. Wishing you and yours all the best.

Heritage Springers (97-99) are cool..,Heritage Springers (00-03) they are cool too, not quite as cool but still cool. People tend to confuse Heritage Springers (97-03) with their similar cousin, the Springer Classic (04-07). Mostly because PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. They THINK they know but they do not. While they are very similar but, as has been Harley tradition, two very similar models can have different model names, VIN prefixes, and letter designations. As everyone knows Harley no longer makes the "Springer" in any variation, be it FXSTS, FLSTS, FXSTSB, FLSTSCI, FXSTSSE, FXSTSSE2, FXSTSSE3 or FLSTSB. Maybe it's me but I think ALL the springers will be collectible. Harley doesn't seem to think these bikes are worth producing anymore. Any explanations out there????
@rockerbiker24459 жыл бұрын
505harleys YES. They don't SELL! Harley isn't going to continue to produce a model that doesn't sell, period.
@HuntingHarleys9 жыл бұрын
ROCKER BIKER +505harleys not exactly, The springer's intent was to offer limited edition motorcycles. Today's corporate Harley wants to make models in the tens of thousands and sell lots of T Shirts and motor clothes. The bikes are becoming a 2nd thought to the motor clothing. After all. T shirts make more money
