Booth was from Bel Air,MD ,same hometown as my father. I'm from Havre de Grace and would not have been a Confederate. Learning where he was from made me feel betrayed somehow. Too many people consider Maryland to be rebel favoring. Not the Maryland i grew up in.

From what I've read of Booth, he was a crazed fanatic. I don't think I would have liked to have met him.Still very fascinated by the whole story though.
