Samong is absolutely right about his fishing content being important in his brand building. So glad to see his success, he deserves it.

Samong Outdoors is my favorite channel. Videos are well edited and it seems more real. Its actual hunting and fishing. I grew up in Spokane but now live a couple hours west in the desert so the videos of the area give me reminisce sense of where I grew up hunting.

Samong is one of my favorites. I tend to like the smaller channels, more regular people.

The dish Samong is describing laab/larb is similar to a beef tartare in a way. There are two version of the dish, cooked & raw. Ingredients used are usually thai chili peppers, fish sauce (optional) and various fresh herbs such as lemon grass, mint, culatro, Vietnamese coriander, roasted rice powder. Different cultures such as Hmong, Iu-Mien, Lao, Thai & Cambodian makes a version of it. Super delicious dish and highly recommend trying it. You can find tons of recipes here on YT.

Another great episode! I definitely agree with the situation that we put things off during hunting season. There's a part of me that is loving every moment while I'm outside chasing animals but there's a part of me that is also looking forward to the season ending so I can catch up on stuff. As for bino glare, a little trick I learned from some snipers when I was cross training with them many years ago was that they would use what we called 1000 mile an hour tape, which was some super strong OD green duct tape. They would have a strip taped to the top third and one on the bottom third of their objective lenses, leaving an open strip in the middle. It would reduce the top and bottom of your view, of course, but it did a good job of eliminating glare. So, if you needed a field expedient way of reducing scope or bino glare, that technique could be used with duct tape, medical tape, mole skin, KT tape or maybe even a piece of cloth with rectangular holes cut in them and fastened somehow to your optics.

He’s not lying! I watched that 12 day hunt and the sounds of that cat killing that deer was seriously spooky! I literally stopped the video momentarily

Just quick correction: although they’re from Laos, the ethnicity isn’t Laotian, they’re Hmong, completely different ethnicity

Samong is my favorite! Ya know, if you want to see how old your family members are, maybe you can send one of their teeth to the deer-aging lab in Montana if they ever have a tooth extracted at the dentist.
