Hunting the RAREST Edible Mushroom, Making a Morel Slurry For Cultivation

I'm out hunting the morchella genus of mushroom, otherwise known as the morel. It's an elusive treat at this time of the year and always proves difficult to find.
I not only share my tips and knowledge on their habitat but also make a spore slurry for potential cultivation in my garden with a locally foraged morchella importuna.
I'll be updating the channel with any new developments on the spawn!

The bark mulch contains the spores from the morel when it fruited in the forest :) Fermented bark = nutrients + Spores from the bark

Great video man, I never knew they grew in the UK … I have cooked them fresh many times but they were always from France and Italy… Love the fact that you’re putting the effort into sowing the spores back in the wild …

That was really interesting, the only time I have found Morels was in my own garden where I had put some commercial wood chippings down. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them.

Hi Liam, I've searched for but not found any Morrel shrooms yet but I have found black Truffles in our local Disiduous woodland, which is actually written in the Doomsday book. Nice Morrel you have there, always remember to not disturb the Mycelium and shrooms should be cut not pulled out of the ground, chances are shrooms won't regrow if just pulled out mate. mate you can’t find fresh mushrooms in the wild… Here in Newquay they just refurbished our local Sainsburys, I cant even find mushroom soup now…😂
