Nice harvest. I picked a bunch yesterday up here in Bergalnd, Ontario. So tasty and satisying, foraging for wild asparagus, as you both well know. No poison ivy just a lot of deer ticks this year so far, in that particular ditch.

Best results if you cut the stems at ground levels .all the roots energy will be sent to a new shoot for eating quicker . Later .

Nice! I currently have poison ivy on my face and between my fingers. I just look at it and get it. Always enjoy asparagus on the grill with a little olive oil 😋✌️

It is too early for jewelweed to be growing, but there is a product called Ivy Itch Relief in a spray bottle. It's base is jewelweed. It neutralizes the oil that causes the rash from poison Ivy. I buy mine at Nature Market. Peace. There is a soap also with jewelweed in it.

You should pick the abit lower from the ground not from the top.

I find these videos interesting. Also noticed that on many occasions the asparagus grow in this tall grass, that we call Johnson( sharp) . You guys found the jackpot.
