Huntlow is probably my favorite ship in the show. They're both considered "half-a-witch" by others (very untrue cause both are very powerful!) and that shared experience seems to be what brought them together.

For anyone who knows miraculous ladybug, willow and Hunters ship or huntlow to me seems to be what Marinette and Adrien‘s relationship could’ve been like. Just less awkward, less drawn out, fast pace, less cringe version of that. Its obvious how Adrian and hunter are similar both related to the shows antagonist, abused child, sad blonde, both (probably) clone/creation, best friend was their kwami/ palisman that they didn’t really like/ get along with at first, and are both sassy queens when their wearing their masks. But Willow and Marinette are also pretty similar too when you think about it. They’ve both been bullied in the past which really negatively affected their self perception, both at least half Asian, is a strong leader but struggled with confidence issues, stands up for themselves with the help of the the new girl who becomes best friends with, and both always trying to support, protect, and help their friends. And I think their relationship can be similar too, I mean, Marinette was Adriens first real friend like willow was for hunter. When willow is having a literal melt down hunter comforts and reassures her(with Gus), something Adrien does for Marinette multiple time, and both work great as a butt-kicking team. To me huntlow has the good qualities of Adrien and Marinette‘s relationship ship without the stalking, the overbearing jealousy, the slightly questionable actions the two take, or their lack of boundaries in the early seasons, which i mean every season before Season 5 I don’t know if it’s just me but I I think Huntlow is a better, tighter, clean cut, speed run version of Adrienette/Marichat/ladrien/Ladynoir/why tf did the fandom give four different names to one ship. Its just something I happen to notice.

been putting this comment on a fair bit of huntlow videos bc i'm curious what y'all think! while i think it's cute, my opinion on this ship is that hunter needs more time to HEAL before he gets involved in a long-term relationship with someone. their shared story introductions make them seem similar, yes, but not a lot of people realize the kind of abuse belos did to hunter DOES to a person, especially when it comes to healthy relationships that aren't just you clinging onto someone for support like a lifeline once you realize they're not going to hurt you like the last person you trusted did. yeah it worked out in the show bc cartoon logic, but from my own experiences, grabbing onto the first few people who made you feel like a human being and deciding you're in love with one of them doesn't really end well, especially if the other person is still recovering/learning from their OWN trauma/self esteem issues. tldr: it's a cute ship but they both need THERAPY, not romantic love imo. tell me your thoughts about why you ship them in the replies though, i'm curious why so many people enjoy it bc i don't get it personally /gen
