Thanks Dear..you have showed us Hunja..I had read a travel account of this region of the year 1835. Two Britishers travelled to Hunja via RAWALPINDI Srinagar those days on horses Tongas .. They wrote about Eagles Nest and put a sketch of this wild region fort.. N Top of the hill .. Interestingly i saw this book in a Rare book store Mariya bookshop at The Mall Shimla.. These were independent states Hunja Gilgit in British agencies ..They called the border ruled states as British Agencies. I was lost in this book..WHERE THREE EMPIRES MEET..OF 19TH CENTURY BOOK TRAVELOGUE .Another was by MR KPs Menon ICS British agent in 🇨🇳 China during Second World War .. He returned in 1944 on horseback from China to Delhi via Kashghar Hunja etc to Srinagar then to RAWALPINDI .n Delhi by Frontier Mail ..Earlier He had remained posted at Fort Sandeman in Frontier as resident then District Judge of Peshawer. The book ..The Many Worlds was published by Oxford..It is a must read for travellers.
