@@atencioatotselsestupids9063 yes, castilian language was first spoken by a mix of celts and basques who were later assimilated into latin culture (and a bit of gothic)

Listening to this makes me want to see Monty Python's The Holy Grail dubbed into this language. It's such a great film, and this has such a fascinating sound to it. Makes me sad that it's not a bigger language then it is. Hejsan från Sverige and have a great day.

@ltx Old Spanish didn't exist until the middle ages. Before then, Vulgar Latin (and Gothic, by a small number of people) was spoken.

@ltx Celtiberian languages formed when Basque speakers tried to speak Celtic, then old Spanish formed when Celtiberian speakers tried to speak Latin ;-)

This sounds so much like a Celtic language. Welsh and Scottish gaelic I think.

way older than celtic languages it's not an indo-european language

There is no relationship whatsoever with the Celtic languages
@sidoso98104 жыл бұрын
there is a theory that says celtic languages have so many non indoeuropean features because of pre-indoeuropean languages that were spoken in the atlantic coast and that basque is one language of that family, in fact, celtic culture was very influenced by that PIE culture, that's why many celts today claim to have that conection to basques

and also, welsh doesn't sound that much like basque, it sound is much more indoeuropean than anything

No typology connection but the accent of Welsh reminds me the northeast of Spain (Aragonese, Catalan, Euskera) though the languages are different.
