I will remember this episode regardless of the result in playoffs. This time I skip a comment on what we should do next with this team. It's has been just a couple of months since we spoke with Data about Pavol Demitra passing away way too soon and what it all meant to us here in Slovakia. National TV streamed live from his funeral and some famous hockey players had their speaches.... How come it's always these good guys, beautiful players and even better people...condolences to Gaudreau family from Slovakia, RIP Johnny and Matthew...

Hey data, beautiful words on the gaudreaus. Johnny was my favourite player growing up, I remember playing with him in free skate mode back in like NHL18 and shooting around with him for hours. RIP ♥️ Also you are right your videos are very comforting in our crazy world, we appreciate you taking time out of your day to entertain your community ❤ Glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation. Alright some actual video thoughts now. Crazy game 2, 7 goal period and 50 shots! But the clutch factor is nowhere to be found. Sucks to see the last years of this core being wasted on these disappointing performances! Changes are needed. Definitely sydor and Thompson trades but is more nessecary? The lines I’m thinking are Swedish meatballs Petterson-kasper-raty Tyupkin-campbell-voynov Beaufait-byfugelin-arcobello Even with Sydor and Thompson traded, there is still not much room and players like beaufait deserve more time, could we trade tyupkin after a poor playoffs? He had a solid year in the regular season even in third line minutes but he did have a -10. Defense should probably stay the same with naslund as 7th D, Wallace 3x6.5 ish is a good bridge deal and he will likely see better numbers with increased regression from Hughes and dobson, I don’t like the kravchenko extension though, 8 years does not make sense for a guy who produces as little as he does. Since he is a dfd I think we will also struggle to get above about an 86 overall. A 1-3 year deal for now is the best move and I could definitely see him being traded after Hughes retires, his partnership with Hughes is really the only reason we’re considering this big extension for him Goalies, I don’t think we can let go of jones after all he’s done for the franchise, a cheap 80ish ovr is also a good idea for insurance since there’s so much inconsistency Also coaching needs to change. Don’t care who stays or leaves as long as something changes because this regime is not working, maybe Ryan suter the head coach leading the old core to their final cup? For the draft Valantenko at 12th is a good idea. A potential top pair defenseman to take the reins from Hughes and lead the team into the 2040s? Also you know I want that med franchise hiebert as unrealistic as it is. Dietz also looks really good this is a stacked draft! Madden and Reinhart pick up for sure as well. Yeah would love to see the livestreams, no pressure to finished the coyotes series either honestly, if you don’t have the time that would be the one to cut in my opinion. For re-signings, I think you should wait until Wallace's and Kravchenko's demands go down before you sign them. I think you should sign Wallace for 3 years and Kravchenko long-term. Also re-sign Demko to a one year deal during the re-sign phase. Sign the expring unsigned UFAs. For trades, I think you should trade Sydor, Thompson, Hronek's rights, and any possible excess AHL RFAs for picks in this draft. Speaking of picks, we currently have 22, 36, 54, 81, 86, 102, 149, 150, and 176 in this draft. Pin the players I suggest: With our 1st round pick, we should use it, along with the other aforementioned trade pieces, to trade up to 10 or 11 to draft Valentenko. Do not trade up for Dietz because Valentenko has a higher chance of working out due to his NHL-ready ETA combined with his medium (not low) elite potential. With our first 2nd round pick, we should draft Di Salvatore, Donaghey, or Ramjagsingh. With our second 2nd round pick, we should draft Madden or Reinhart. With our first 3rd round pick, we should use to trade up to about 73 to draft Martins. We should use our second 3rd round pick in the aforementioned trade-up for Valentenko. With our 4th round pick, we should draft M. Norrena (btw it is very common for teams to "reach" on players according to the consensus draft board. An extreme example of this is that Yegor Chinakhov was a projected 6th-rounder a few years ago and CBJ took him in the 1st. Even if we traded down, it would not be worth it because we would not get any value back). With our first 5th round pick, we should draft A. Grigorenko. With our second 5th round pick, we should draft R. Stasiak. With our 6th round pick, we should draft H. McDonald. We do not need anything in free agency. I think the lines could look like this next season: 1st F: Lundqvist-Markström-Lekkerimäki 2nd F: Pettersson-Kasper-Räty 3rd F: Tyupkin-Campbell-Voynov 4th F: Byfuglien-Beaufait-ArcoBELLO Depth F: Podkolzin 1st D: Hughes-Kravchenko 2nd D: Dobson-Wallace 3rd D: Bonino-Alexandrov Depth D: Naslund G: two of Jones, Bykov, and Demko Depth G: the other one of Jones, Bykov and Demko

45:45 I know they had this in previous games, where you could press the d-pad to control the strategy and aggresiveness of the team. Did they get rid of it?

It's still there, but even on the highest aggressiveness levels, the AI doesn't play with much urgency.

You know what, I TOTALLY forgot that that existed 😂 That being said, as Michael added, it doesn't do much for the "urgency" factor. Regardless, I'll give it a whirl next time haha

I feel like the issue with goaltending in this game isn't that low-overall goalies can pop off and high-overall goalies can suck, because goalies in real life are EXTREMELY inconsistent, with many examples to prove that. I think the issue is that the scoring in general is WAY too high. I think that there are settings that dictate how much scoring there is. We need to experiment with those settings if you buy NHL25 (which you SHOULDN'T btw because it will suck)

We have in past FMs, but I believe the issue persists regardless of setting. You may be able to decrease depth scoring and improve overall goaltending, but that will also greatly decrease top-end scoring which should still be elite. In other words, changes are global and make it very difficult to find a sweet spot

fire the WHOLE staffs and get new one, also trade everyone that is absolutely useless, goalie are done, do no resign anyone.
