It's strange, I first heard HFTRR after the release of Rican Beach and that's bc I myself am Puerto Rican. I had no idea that Alynda was making these beautiful songs in New Orleans years ago. While I love the new stuff, I have to admit that older music is much more haunting and soulful. I really cant get these songs out of my head. I really want this album but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it.. I'm poor you know.

@thedrewberg I think you're clueless. Alynda Segarra is a fantastic singer and musician. I've seen her dozens of times in NOLA with her band, and she also busks in the French Quarter with Loose Marbles and Tuba Skinny. She's destined for big things.
