Seems to be the same track Michael took in 2018. Michael was in October which most hurricanes that hit Florida after September 10 take this track, since most of the rest stay far off land in the Atlantic.

Unfortunately i have some experience with these storms living in Daytona..leave immediately dont play with this storm..its horrible listening to the sound of the wind.. Tallahassee is very hilly if thats a word lol but it has hills and flooding is very possible..i would leave Tallahassee..the university should tell them to leave

Keep windows shut tight and locked, stay away from the windows if they're not impact glass. Hopefully you have shutters or 5/8 or thicker plywood covered them. Better to be safe than sorry and once a window breaks and the wind is blowing 100mph, the building will have pressure inside and it can tear out the ceiling. So, when air hits the building square on the wall outside it's directed up into the sofit which most homes have a vented attic so that's where the pressure can cause damage. Keep them locked and if you're doors open in, I'd get something heavy to put in front or a vehicle to block wind including your garage door if you have one, don't open during the storm if you're in the path..May God keep you safe

Gainesville is east of Tallahassee and closer to Jacksonville.

Gainesville is on route 441 just east of 75 north of Ocala and south of lake city. And pretty much 60 miles east to west of each coast. And located inland but has lots of water around as lakes rivers and streams. Probably just get rain and some wind there.

Don’t panic. Just try to get to a shelter maybe 10-20 miles inland. We’re going to be ok. Stay aware of what’s happening but do your best to evacuate inland if you’re able to.

Just remember, storm surge and flooding usually harms more than the wind, but the winds in a Cat 4 or 5 are no joke. If you live in a manufactured home or mobile home, the winds are more of an issue so pay attention and get out before it's too late.🙏❤
