From last night at 11: 30 p.m. when it started to rain we got over 12 inches of rain here in Ocean View. We had some very hard wind up to 72 miles a hour. So I don't what ya'll got in Kona. But here it was big.

We made many trips to the Big Island and just loved Kona especially walking the seawall under the banyon trees. We alays had good weather and only had rain over at Hilo. Big Island is the place , too bad it costs too much to live there and getting costly to visit, but we still wish we could come back.

Kona always feels the least amount from these things. Here on south point road it was crazy high wind and rain all night and most of today. Only now calm. System has moved out.

Hilo has gotten 10 inch of rain in the last 24 hours crazy!

The Hilo flood of Nov. 2000 got over twice that amount in the same time frame. It was a nightmare. Washed out part of Komohana st.
