Hurricane Ian downgraded to Category 1, track shifts east

Hurricane Ian was significantly weaker late Wednesday compared to when it made landfall earlier in the day. The center of Hurricane Ian was located about 70 miles southwest of Orlando at 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The storm had decreased in strength, and downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph. Ian continues to move northeast at 8 mph.

Same here. We had a few flickers throughout the day and internet was intermittent at best. But considering we're getting hit by the eye wall and we've only lost a fence panel and some small tree limbs dropped on the roof, we're doing pretty good.

I’m in Kissimmee/ Orlando and just woke up to the sound and no electricity. The scariest thing right now is hearing everything but not being able to see any of it through the window. I don’t know how much water is outside of our hotel door.
