I live in the Fort Myers/Babcock Ranck area and we got the eye of Ian...Sanibel, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Pine Island, Caya Costa, etc decimated to the point of biblical destruction. Billions in damage, Countless Floridians lost everything, and many lives were lost. LOOONNNGG road to recovery. Regards and love to all those affected by Ian! We WILL rebuild...FLORIDA STRONG!

Nice video Kelly, Walt used to throw the castanet & our 3 Boys, including BlueGabe did the same thing all of your kids there did SUCH FUN! Helps the big & little kids stay calm during such a stressful worriesome time of uncertainty. Helping to make happy fun memories helps kids not to be so fearful when another hurricane approaches next season. So glad your friends from the west coast dodging Ivan’s wrath! We got a few inches of rain and a little wind here in central NC. Thankfully, Ian weakened quickly after landfall in SC. The storm pulled in cooler air from up north. We've been in the upper 50's and lower 60's temps here. NOT complaining!! My beans, lettuce and cabbage is loving it.

It's great to see you posting Kelly. I'm in Plant City, the storm missed us by just a little. We lost power at 5 PM Wed and the rest of the night we had wind and wind. We lost 6 big oak trees on our property but no damage to the house. We go power back on about 11:20 Sat night. Prayers are out to the people in Lee county. According to the Gov their power grid is completly destroyed and will have to be totally rebuilt from the ground up.

Kelly, I so hope y’all survived the storm with minimal damage. My heart goes out to everybody in Florida. I have a niece in Fort Myers and another niece somewhere in Florida. They both went to high ground. I watch a shell collector from Fort Myers who searches Sanibel and surrounding islands. I’m sure she had major damage. I’m glad you are on the slow side of Florida. I’ll keep praying for you.

born and raised in Florida, spent many a day on the water off Ft. Myers and am saddened to see so much damage BUT this is a wake up call about living/building on the coast and a good reason to rethink how we live in areas subject to flooding and hurricanes. Fort Myers should be turned into a park, revegetated with Mangroves and left alone..

The mullet are definitely thick this time of year! So thick indeed that cut finger mullet is working way better than whole live here in Texas. It’s for that very reason I believe, there’s just to much in the water to choose from. The best baits always change for fishing but this last weekend you couldn’t beat cut finger mullet. Mangrove, bluefish, redfish, trout of both kinds, flounder and sharks are all being caught here where I fish at in POC.

Love your video's blue gabe's too. I live in North Port Fl. Yes, we got hit hard, 140 mph wind and 19.5 in rain. Been beautiful since. Dealing with no gas, no food and streets are just now clearing enough to get around. My dog survived, but was very nervous as was I.
