Your pool can’t pop or float unless you drain out MOST of the water. It’s perfectly fine to lower the level by 8-12 inches depending on the predicted rainfall. Water weighs 8 pounds per gallon so the remaining 100,000 pounds will keep it rock solid in place. Ask any pool service tech - they do partial water changes on a regular basis without any adverse effect
