That's because this was a comparison of Hurricanes. Tropical storms that occur over North Atlantic and North East Pacific oceans are called Hurricanes. So it's obvious that those would hit the Americas. Also, storms that are formed over the South Pacific and Indian Ocean are called Cyclones whereas storms formed over the North West Pacific ocean are called Typhoons. There's not really a difference between them except for where they are formed. Currently, the French region of Réunion holds the world record for having the most amount of Cyclones.

+CE Luck - I don't think so. This video was obvious rushed, he couldn't even keep the size of the Hurricane consistent when he zooms out. Pay attention at Hurricane Matthew at 1:09, it is about 1.5x the size of Florida. After he zooms out, Hurricane Matthew is only 2/3 size of the Florida. That is way off! The creator couldn't even care to spend a few minutes just to fix that. In addition, he obviously used the same image for all Hurricanes to save time. This video is roughly 2 hour worth of work, and it doesn't deserve 4M views. For my comparison video I took almost 3 weeks!
