loubilly - I’m glad you enjoy it. I enjoy helping others and remember how difficult it was when I got my first machine regarding finding content online on how to fix things. That’s for the feedback. Much appreciated.

Marc Freidberg - feel free to let me know what would help. I can knock out the how to level a pinball machine pretty quickly so that one is definitely in the pipeline.

Thanks for making this video. Got my first pin a few weeks ago and am going to replace the incandescent bulbs with LEDs. This was a very helpful video.

Hi, so when insert led in newer games Goes out you have to buy whole node board? And any idea how long stern provide those parts ? I have stranger things pro its my first pinball. Thanks.
@HurryUpPinball2 жыл бұрын
Typically you would just replace the board. I suppose you could take it to someone to microsolder it but I suspect it would just be easier to replace the board. For recent games (spike 2), there may be a little wait involved but nothing excessive.

HURRY UP PINBALL, How can you tell if the light bulbs are "ghost lamps" or non-ghost lamps? some have internal resistors but how can you see them inside the light bulbs?
@HurryUpPinball Жыл бұрын
In some older games, if the led bulb stays lit a tiny bit and doesn’t go out even when it is supposed to go off, it’s a “ghosting” bulb. Non-ghosting bulbs shut completely off on older games. This is typically an issue with inserts. Bulbs labeled non-ghosting are typically designated with a NG somewhere on the bulb.

@@HurryUpPinball Thanks for the info. So its best to use Ghosting Bulbs in the INSERTS and where else on the playfields?

I have a Star Trek vengeance and we have a few bulbs that are flickering/dead on certain colours. We opened the top but unlike yours it looks to be whole LED boards rather then bulbs, we didn’t look any further as we are new to pinball. Any tips?
@HurryUpPinball3 жыл бұрын
Really sorry for the delayed response. I’ve been sick over the past two weeks and I finally recovered. I believe your Star Trek machine may have node boards with the LED lights built into them. Unless you know how to Micro-solder, the best route would probably be to replace the board if the LED is out. You could also contact Stern and see if they have any suggestions. That’s the downside to the node boards. You are not able to change out LEDs if they go bad. You may be able to find someone who repairs the node boards as well. Micro soldering requires a while different set of tools.

@@HurryUpPinball Thanks for that, hope you get better soon! We opened it and all node boards need changing...360 quid later ha ha
