Love this. Was thinking of going tomorrow and found out sunrise is at 6:20 am. The only problem is where do I park? Since Fort Williams park opens at 8 am I have no idea since I was never here before and have to travel from Massachusetts( 2 hours). Thanks

We were able to find parking outside of the park and walked in

A great view of a famous landmark in the state of Maine. In the dozen times I have vacationed in Maine over the years, 2 prominent times I well remember when I visited the grounds of the Portland Lighthouse. The 1st was in 1999 when I completed a 10K road race ( called Beach to Beacon ) in the morning when it was sunny and created a magnificent sight of the light reflecting off the waves. The 2nd time was in 2002 when I took the time with my art sketching pad to draw a picture of the lighthouse. Again, when it is sunny, that is the time to see it.
