What a lovely spot. Glad you got some good weather after a fair few drizzly outings recently. On the one hand it'd be cool to look in those caves... on the other, they really give me the heeby-jeebies.

Thanks bud weather is looking ok for some days looks like it's slowly improving. There must be a gap somewhere in that woodland that goes into a cave but you could be looking for days quiet interesting over there

Alan Godfrey maps are great reproduction maps as to give some ideas of the old quarries and related industrial workings of 100+ years ago, I've about 20 of them so far, I'll be purchasing a map for this area too. Top stuff Drew (y)

At around 16 mins into your video recognise probably same area I ventured a couple of days ago as I remember the shopping trolley 😎 , Scarily steep,,, was possibly myself that slipped down that embankment on my backside 😳😅

Loved this, great memories of playing over there as a kid, and bmx as a teen. We used to call it The Bowl. The caves were not filled in as much in the 90s, you could crawl in the one a bit more. Great video mate, all the best, Webby 👍

Thanks bud really interested place enjoyed the walk around here I did find more bits of the quarry sad it's all been filled in this it did lead to tunnels underground and you could get to the wrens nest from there lol . Thanks Webby 😁

@MidlandsOutdoors Yea, I heard that as a kid, but I was not sure if it was true or not. I remember hearing older kids boast they had been down there, and it lead to the Wrens Nest.
