I find that the people you are around in day to day life can formulate your expectations. The majority of time I’m with working class predominantly male with occasional interaction with low level management. With friends family and colleagues it amounts to around 100 individuals. They practically all have right leaning views, have no interest in climate and rarely give it a thought.Money is the constant focus along with what petrol engined car they drive and where their next holiday is going to be.Even discussing nature and biodiversity is usually scoffed at. Nature is something kept at a distance and tightly controlled. It’s quite depressing. Only through the web I discover those with similar concerns to mine.

😢same here. The suffering has to increase before awakening. Can happen. Short time distractions and satisfaction s are leading most people

I am finding, already, that my individual interactions with the “strangers” I come across daily has changed. I have three year old, so lots of playgrounds, and other guardians I don’t know. I’m finding that I’m when your guest, and that the way we do it is on an individual level. Sharing our healing, talking about where we’re volunteering, offering help to each other, and being genuine. This is already changing so much- so fast.

International oligarchs have used naive people everywhere like expendable "chess pieces" in an international game of politics in which they have little say - and everything to lose. The collective indifference of these self-serving power brokers who care not about the Common Good, is the nemesis of the human species. It is good to be old. I weep for humanity.

31:15 my father was a sociopath. Born a sociopath, lived as a sociopath, and died as a sociopath. 85 years old I caught him shoplifting Breakfast every morning with friends spent reminiscing all his criminal activities. Half his life wasted in prison million felt his wrong doing

Rachel’s feedback helps everyone listening. Kosha Joubert was listening “wow, all these places this is not going to this is not going to go in let's continue practice” Kosha heard she can improve her lexicon to reach more people. That was Rachel doing that.

I appreciate Rachel's practicality. I sense this presenter is used to certain audiences -- people who attend consciousness raising retreats, who listen to newage sermons, and guru talks where the feeling you take away with you after the talk is the goal, rather than gaining specific information.

Its true that when you are hungry and insecure about your living its hard to focus on healing. But we also need to remember that many people decide to bring children into their lacking environment and that makes it 100 times harder to improve your economic situation to the point of then being able to focus on this internal work. Stay single, heal, then think about a family. Its slot easier to support yourself than a family.

58:15 "What we have to do is both contact our inner reality and then clarify our tools for communicating it. The culture cannot evolve faster than the language evolves. Because - remember, we said last night - the culture is made out of language. And what we are doing here at Esalen, or what you’re doing when you try to persuade people to recycle, or what you’re doing when you’re trying to persuade people to re-examine their attitudes towards the feminine is: we’re trying to get them to change their language. The bad people have always understood this very clearly. It’s called propaganda. You know-Lenin said, “Give me the child at age seven, and I will return you the man,” because this seems to be how it works. What we need to do is clean up our language. There are terrible problems in English. I mean, the subject-object relationship. At least English is gender-neutral. Languages which aren’t are just, you know… carry heavy freight in that department that would be very difficult to overcome." -Terence McKenna

20:00 the conscious knowing of paradigm design and the design’s reality How are the two connected? The difference between policy and culture? What is written dogma / corporate mandate and what is said in the lift between coworkers? Where is that reality ?

Assisting the intercommunion of all the living and non living components of the Earth community is not only the most important work we can be doing right now; unfortunately it is also the most difficult work we will ever do.

Her microphone garbled when she leaned in toward it, dropping the last word of sentences, and her speaking style often ended sentences on a significant word! "Partly traumatized and partly wrzgdh" that's when it would help if you would repeat what you heard her say. 32:33

If everyone did yoga... or if everyone meditated... or if everyone processed.... or if everyone did lsd... seems like that would be in the never going to happen bucket, everyone has that idea, its maybe not incorrect, however there is low likelihood of it happening. Might have to be a shock unfortunately, then maybe? You would think they would be shocked by now. What we can do, is do ourselves, and maybe someone else sees that... and, but maybe not. But that is part of the process is acceptance of the way things are, vs the way we think it should be, duality is the nature of the world. Its a personal journey out of it. If successful you can watch the trauma detached, the show, or even join in make a difference if that is what you want to do. I did a lot of those kinds of things, and 30 years later was I really there? There is no changing the system it seems, except by violence, and that would be probably temporary as you pissed someone off, and they want it back the old way. If everyone did reach some sort of neutrality, might it be a bit of a boring world? Humans do love drama. Duality seems to be the natural nature of man/woman kind, and it is certainly part of politics, as we see right now, one against the other. Good vs evil, love and hate, war and peace, happy or sad, rich vs poor. There is a method. You sit down you write, you ask is this true, the process of destroying all that was put into you without your permission when you were too young to object.. Jed McKenna if it interest anyone. None have made it to adulthood, or very few. But do you really want to go there? The fact that there are many struggling, is there is just a few too many of us. So many religions spiritual practices seem to think there is so much abundance on a finite earth.

What is the purpose of life? How about happiness? How do we achieve happiness? We achieve happiness by being kind, by doing no harm, by thinking, thinking, thinking, all to the very best of our imperfect, human ability. Think about that?

Nice. Just one profane and unaducated question. Does "unconscious" mean dead? All living creatures, bugs, birds, humanoids are conscious. Observe how bug is flying, what motivates him to fly, what direction it fly - thats "conscious. But only humans are self conscious. It is our blessing and our curse perhaps.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2mkfqyMprihp6csi=NDXDMb0I4Z3rfgeY Qigong for 1 does have v useful framing for this. There's attention and there's Intention. Attention is what happens when u get out of ur own way. Then theres consious intention, sub consious intention and unconsious intention. The more developed and disciplined one is the more aware, and controlled u will be. Some things really need to be experienced to b understood.

Humans are not the only self conscious being. It’s these ideas of human/personal exceptionalism that have shaped our current reality. 💚🐾✊🍀🌎✌️💚

@@veganpundit1 Let me think here. Bird is making a nest, Ape male bribing ape femail by giving her fruit, crow dropping the nut from a flight in order to crush it so it can be eaten --- all beings are following laws of the nature, natural synergy. This is conciuosness I think. But then human can observe and percept a running animal or a movements of his or her own hand fingers and draw it on the wall of the cave, in other words human personifies the natural interactions of the natural systems, he then notices relationships, repetitiveness in nature and thinks that these are probably spirits in action, here we go - religion is born. Then he and she is able to harvest, to produce tools, accumulate material things (comonly known as stuff) which makes him selfish, infighting becomes a common activity. No, I think self conciuosnes is characteristic for humans only.

It would be great if medical science could start researching how Chinese medicine can help heal emotional issues. Five element acupuncture is particularly interesting with regard to what can happen to children.
