The amount of high level competition atm is overwhelming. I think the meta is still getting harder and has a long way to go. Pretty soon before are going to have to specialize in multple characters to be the best, not just solo main.

Hurt has gotten top 8 in almost everything he has been in, the one time he ddnt get top 8 he got 9th at port… he has been consistent already

It is very hard to be consistent in ult. Think it has to do with the sheer amount of very unique characters. The amount of matchups you need to know is staggering. And sometimes there's just no way to get the matchup experience you need because there is no top level representation of certain characters in certain areas and online is a different game unless you live in Japan where it works ok because Nintendo are scumbags and do not bother making netcode that works outside of Japan. That being said Hurts been rather consistent now for a while. This win was not surprising. There was no way for Sparg0 to be prepared. I guess he could have watched more vods. But I Don't think that would've been enough. Likewise there was no way for Mkleo to be ready for Toriguri and his Banjo.

Finally someone playing Snake like Ally. Might not quite have the same cerebrality as Ally but Hurt is also much sharper tech wise. Always felt like no one was able to display Snakes full potential. Appolokage is too reckless. MVD is too defensive. Hurt is doing it. Might not quite have Ally's cerebral prowess but he's better than Ally at technical stuff. You can't beat this type of Snake by being aggressive like Sparg0 is. You have to be patient and refuse to take any risks.

Gtfo, Snake is a trapper which requires lots of creativity, far far more interesting and complex than Cloud. Hurt is also all about putting on the pressure and capitalizing on that. If you think its zzz its because you don't understand what you are watching.
