HurtStone Ep 3 Battlecrying

For those that do not understand what is going on (lenghty explanation): Jaina (the female mage) is playing tempo mage. Basically most of her toolkit is directly damaging her opponent, and the deck is designed so that it is very rare to be forced to skip a turn without making any play. The staff she is using is called Aluneth, a mage legendary weapon that causes her to draw extra 3 cards at the end of every turn. Thrall (the green orc shaman) is playing Shudderwock deck. Shudderwock is a legendary Shaman minion with ability that duplicates all battlecries effect that the shaman has played up to that point. Combined with Saronite Chain Gang, this adds the ability for Shudderwock to summon a duplicate of himself. Then combined again with another different Shaman legendary called Grumble, this adds another ability to return all "other" minions (in this case returning all copies of the other Shudderwocks created) and causing these copies to cost only 1 mana. Shaman also has 2 elementals, one that reduces the cost of the other elementals in hand by 1, and another is to cause the next battlecries effect to trigger twice. With enough preparation, the Shaman is able to play the elemental to cause the next battlecries effect to trigger twice, then play Shudderwock. This results in multiple Shudderwock being created and returned to hand while costing 1, and the Shaman can just play it over and over again. If this is combined with any battlecries that deals damage to the opponent hero, this will eventually cause the opponent to die. And since the animation could not be cancelled and took a long time before the patch, once many Shudderwock is played at once, then the opposing player is stuck without being able to do anything until all animation and battlecries effect ends. For the shaman, it is basically waiting until the victory screen is displayed. For the opposing hero on the other hand... it's just stuck waiting to lose.

In the earliest Days of Shudderwock it was also possible to simply create an Infinite Loop that holds your enemy hostage in the game until they shut down the game. Thankfully Blizzard quickly patched that out :D

Until the enemy health pool runs out, you mill yourself to death because you were an idiot and included a "Draw a card" battlecry to your deck, the enemy lucks out and the "create a copy of this minion" battlecry ends up being the 31st+ battlecry your shudderwock copies decided to copy (The battlecries cap out at 30, and are arranged randomly when shudderwock is summoned), or until it drives you into a state of insanity and blow your own brains out leaving the opponent to suffer in isolation.

Hearthstone is a card game Based on characters from WoW. Jaina( that Mage in the blue Cape) plays Tempo Mage. That means she plays Secrets (purple question Marks) ,which Trigger If your oppenent does something. She also Runs Aluneth( that Zepter) which is the best card draw in the Game, it gives You 3 cards at the end of each Turn.

Thrall (that green Shaman Guy) plays a Shudderwock Deck. Shudderwock Decks are often very weak in the early game, What was shown here by Thrall getting punched in the face by all of Jainas Cards. The Shudderwock itself repeats every battlecry You Played so far this Game. There are three Main battlecry in Shudderwock Decks. Saronite Chain Gang/Doppelgangster, which multiply your Shudderwock , Grumble, World Shaker,which gives You the Shudderwock back for 1 Mana, and Lifedrinker,which Deals damage to your opponent and heals yourself. Howewer,this Shaman didnt used Lifedrinker,which means that the Animation,which normally goes 3-4 Minutes,goes Infinite. That Deck is just playing to Troll your opponent. Any more questions?

Shudderwock is a legendary card which replicates all previous Battlecry effects you've used. This means that it, for example, continue creating more Shudderwocks on the board, which also replicate all previous Battlecry effects. The whole thing takes quite a while, and caused Blizzard to increase the speed at which Shudderwock casts its effect, because it could often take several minutes before they killed the enemy, even if death was guaranteed.

The joke is Shudderwock (that dragon monster). Its battlecry lets it replay all other battlecries you played that game, which already can take a while to get through. Now combine that with battlecries that let him copy itself and return himself to the hand to be replayed, and you've got a semi-infinite loop of endless battlecries that can last for ages. They had to roll out a special patch just stop Shudderwocks from locking the game down for minutes to hours at a time.

The guy that says "my jaws that bite my claws that catch" is a new legendary named shudderwock. What he does is repeat all other battlecries the player has done throughout the entire game. In most (if not all) shudderwock decks they include saronite chain gang which makes a duplicate of the battlecrier when played. Also there is another card called the world shaker that returns other cards to the hand and makes them cost 1 mana. This combo leads to more shudderwocks duplicating and bouncing themselves to the hand, and combined with all other battlecry cards you have played in the game, it leads to some really long animations that you can just cast again and again. Thankfully theyve sped up the animations.

for anyone wondering the joke, that dragon creature is called shudderwock, and his ability is to shout a bunch of battlecries that have happend in the battle, battlecries are basically like abilities. however, if shudderwock shouts a battlecry that copies whoever shouted it, it will create another shudderwock, and the original shudderwock can copy the new shudderworks battlecry ability, which is to copy a bunch of the other battlecries that have happend, and this can happen vice versa, and over and over, lasting hours at a time if this chain continues, thus making most enemies just forfeit the match, also including battlecries that make the current battlecry twice as long or twice as effective, so it just becomes a dumpster fire really fast.
