I can't even begin to tell you how touching this video is. My husband and I have completely remodeled our home and done many outdoor projects together, so many we can almost anticipate what the other needs or what tool they are going to ask for after 22 years together. Looking great, y'all! I'm showing this to my husband tonight when he gets home from work to show him that we could build one together. Ikr! I always thought it would be great to have a fig bush platform so you can reach the top branches before the birds do. My grandmother had a 50 foot high fig bush. Great memories of "picking pigs" as my son used to say🍈

When you're installing the ground wood beams, what do you do about butting them together? It looks like you have 12' lengths, so do you just cut them to be "butt jointed" at one of the metal posts or let them "butt up" in between the metal posts?
