Diamond is extremely attractive of the female gladiators and what is shocking is that I could’ve sworn she was British because she had an accent that almost sounded like it was British but I learned that she was actually German and that is incredible!

When Diamond was on my screen, I had to shut my mouth and just watch. [True story] Known for being the family jokester, my mother (may she rest in peace) watched me as I saw Diamond in an event, and without missing a beat she said, “watching your girlfriend on TV?“ Man, my face was more red than an apple and I can hear her cackling in the kitchen.

Nitro, Laser and Thunder were adept at landing some big shots in contenders in powerball for the first event but Nitro and Laser used to be football players, Laser was a linebacker but Nitro was a free safety in their college days

The second half was a lot stronger than the first half for this season. Trent would have qualified for the quarterfinals had he competed in the first half, and Johnnie would have at least been a decent alternate. The two lowest-ranked women's scores in the first half were so pathetic that when Kelley Peacock had to withdraw in the quarterfinals, they pulled a totally new alternate out to replace her instead of allowing either of them back into the competition.

There seemed to be a fair amount of rule bending in the first few years of AG and the early series of the UK version, where it seemed contenders would do something very minor to give themselves some sort of slight advantage. In the UK, in the very first heat in the first series, there was an infamous moment where a contestant named Nicola Bawden gave Scorpio the slip on The Wall by oiling her legs and pulling out the laces on her shoes.
