In most of these Chinese dramas, when the FL finds out her husband is cheating and/or wants a divorce, the FL is never careful and ends up with another man herself before the divorce. Sometimes, he/she would sign the divorce and immediately thinks they're divorced and go out with another partner; all this time, either the other party didn't sign and/or the divorce hasn't even been filed and they are not legally divorced. It's ridiculous to write these drama scenes, especially since the characters are supposed to be rich and super smart. They should know at least that part of the law, or have lawyers to help them. I'm poor but even I know that a divorce isn't valid until the barrage is officially dissolved by a judgment.

I know she’s got enough money to actually hire a PI that would’ve gave her some damning evidence that would’ve buried her husband instead of slowing her role going straight to the mistress, which was a bad idea which tipped his hand she could’ve held out for a few more days and actually got some good evidence and then he would not have a leg to stand on when going to court

Like what was she thinking? She’s putting ALL the blame on the young guy, but where is the self reflection? You went clubbing, for god sake’s. If it wasn’t him, some other guy could’ve gotten close to you enough for photos to be used and misrepresented. You know what a scumbag your ex is.
