Amazing how much comes to light when _competent_ investigators take over a cold case years later. If only autopsies were done properly on the first place.

Well it look's like to me that if anyone can kill someone they are supposed to love and charish is beyond me. But for someone's grown child to kill their mom and step dad who has stuck by him throw all of the stuff he has gone through is without a doubt sick in the head. I have mental illness and my mom and step dad has been their for me all though the stuff i was going though and not once have i thought about hurting them. I love the fact that my parent's have stuck by my side and i can not thank them enough.

In the first story, where the woman was laying on a train tracks, how come when her body was removed it wasn’t sent to the medical examiner’s‘ office for an autopsy to be performed??? I mean: after being buried for 3 years, they exhumed her body to determined the manner of death??? Unbelievable. That was a critical mistake. I am speechless.

There was an initial autopsy but the ME's judgment was clouded with the information that she was found on the tracks and the train had ran over her. That she could have been assaulted was not explored and the ME overlooked the tell tale signs of foul play.

I do appreciate this series, but lacks so many facts/details that the original FF series provides. Like the Earl Morris case, this series states he rented a boat to tow his out to sea, but FF said he rented a boat to get himself back from sinking his. Many other details, like the affair being with his sister in law, the family's DNA test shockingly turning up incest, and many other details are consistantly left out in this rehashed series.

One should be rather carefull to draw conclusions that are not evidence based. The case of Brett, the drawn conclusions based on blood spatter paterns will not hold up in court if a contraexpertise is done. AT best one could argue that the blood spatter patern would indicate that blood would go sideways and thus not be on the murderer. It does not however make that a conclusion that Brett did do it. As that would be invalid as a scientific conclusion, as it has no empiric validation towards drawing this conclusion. (Only in combination with other evidence it can be used to argue such a conclusion yes, but otherwise no.)

Don't agree with you, but it is surprising to see so many men killing their wives for not having to pay child support, especially in the US.

@@Guifross Do not forget the mistress. How that complicates matters! I found it interesting the story about a guy that killed his wife as she was pregnant. He told his mistress there was no longer sex with his wife. Thus, murder was the solution to this problem. I love a mistress that has standards!
