No, he said that he would go on the honeymoon for ops birthday and then he broke his word. It’s not that he’s going on the boys trip that is upsetting her or that’s the problem, it’s that he is blatantly breaking his promise which is basically lying. Marriage is built on promises and trust, breaking his commitment to his wife to be with his friends shows that she’s not the most important person in his life. If my husband didn’t take our marriage seriously he wouldn’t still have me.

NTA. Tell him to take the whole trip with his friends. You can celebrate your honeymoon and birthday going on a separate trip. I did that years ago when my husband decided to take a cruise with his mom and sister for his sister's birthday which was around our anniversary. I figured since he was taking a trip. I could take a trip. I had a blast by myself on a road trip to The Biltmore in Asheville NC. I even had time to stop in Gatlinburg TN. Trust me a trip alone where you can eat at restaurants you want. Shop at stores without him complaining like a toddler.

@@xyliaadvocaat8113 in the us it’s a 50% ratio marriage will end in divorce, maybe 10% actually mutually love each other, the other 40% are trapped/feel obligated some way or another. Baby, financial independence, guilt, etc. so my opinion will stay where it is “buddy”. (Parents divorced when I was 7, Dad used my mom for 3 kids, he’s gay)

@@NoahofWill I think chilling and going with the flow is much better than resenting anytime. She can have a conversation about why he would do this and not honor.
