Gina's husband discusses a litany of frontal lobe issues and his somewhat different perspective on her function in these areas, than she reports. Absent-minded, forgets where she needs to be at are just a few of the issues. He states that she forgets where she has to be. She loses track of things. She is getting better about losing track of time than she use to be. Gina has trouble making decisions and tends to over analyse things. When it came to having motivation for this interview she was very enthusiastic about it but she isn't always motivated to do everyday chores.

I have ADHD supposedly but my condition is far more like frontal lobe disorder. Perhaps they are nearly the sane anyway but I have not much hyperactivity and more of these things. I also leave stuff like auto card on table for weeks lol. This is me so much. But also I'm actually quite intelligent as well, in childhood I scored 99th percentile and right now in life I've scored a bit less coming in at 126 but to justify I was obsessively going thru some kind of self conscious fit during the testing lol. I even went numb on my extremeties. I am being treated with ADHD meds which I guess can help but also im on seroquel which is arguably a chemical labotomy. Lol. Makes it a little worse but definitely controls my other crazy symptoms. Its the lowest possible dose anyways: 25mg. I sometimes get somewhat psychotic-like symptoms. Perhaps just the ADHD meds of course though. Anyways, I've gotten to the point I can't intentionally think thoughts on my own. It seems I must let my mind wander in order to solve any problem. I do have some control still. And also when I do let my mind wander I can come up with brilliant things, and ironically I've just had an epiphany, Einstein had smaller frontal lobe I believe and he seemed very disorganized to show it. And his theories were come about in similar manner, thru creative thoughts. I think maybe since messed up frontal lobe eliminates self controlled thought, you end up with using more visual and intuitive type processes in order to solve things. Perhaps the frontal lobe is merely a leash to enslave our minds. But our conscious thoughts aren't nearly as evolved as the rest of our thoughts, they are far too evolutionarily new. Tangents and tangents is all I can do it seems. I don't think I have that bad a frontal lobe but it is problematic for school and daily life. I cannot willingly do homework much at all.

Personally, I think you have been misdiagnosed. TBI is more common that we realize and children are getting them and it may not really show up until we are adults, or maybe learning disabilities are from TBI. I'm sorry, because it must be awful and not have what you consider the correct diagnosis.
