Ok so he caused the breakup of his family by cheating on his wife with the young rich girl. He chose to divorce wife and even cheated her out of matrimonial property for his own greed. HOWEVER, he’s right on a point, the girl chased a married man and wanted him for herself and pushed for him to divorce wife to marry her. This is why I say the other woman is 100% responsible for her part in destroying a marriage as well. The husband is 100% responsible for breaking his family. This is such a good example of karma for the mistress. Don’t feel sorry for her one bit!

I am not a believer in the man who cheats being the only one blamed. For me the woman he cheats with is responsible for the break up of that man's marriage too. (Only if she doesn't know he is married would I not blame her too). There are so many women out there who don't give a damn if the man is married. They see someone they like and will go hook, line and sinker to get their grubby hands on him. When I got married my mum said to me 'now you have to watch out for other women more than ever before because there's nothing some women like more than another woman's husband'. I even had a friend who lived right next door to us, give the come-on to my husband. He was absolutely oblivious to it until I pointed out to him what she was doing! Then he made a point of ignoring her until she got the message and stopped what she was doing.

If you look carefully, although this drama has a cliche plot about unfaithful husband, unlike other chinese dramas with the same plot, this drama is the best. 1. It has a lots of messages, such as a woman cannot depend on marrige. They must hold on to their career. Not impossible for women to help each other against common enemies. It is not easy for a woman to get a job after a few years of being a housewife... and others. 2. Good scripting. 3. Extremely good casting, acting and directing. I watched the scene where the mistress was being condescending towerds the ex-wife at the shopping centre several times. The acting was superb!

This one is much better than the other adaption. The other adaption although the mistress turn wife caused some problems in the business the husband protected her and they still stayed married even though that husband basically did the same as this one.

I wished some karma for second wife too. Husband is a greedy scumbag alright. Him going to jail was because of his financial crimes. But I cannot muster even an iota of sympathy for the mistress turned second wife either. She chased after him despite knowing he was married, threw tantrum. Her father is one of the board of directors of his company thus a temptation for gains. She couldn't get another decent unmarried man? He didn't reply when she asked whether he loved him, but instead of accepting the answer she was yelling at him calling him coward as if him cheating on his wife for her would be some act of bravery. And kept going after him. So when he is drunk and thinking about his first wife, is on her. Spoiled brat brought it on herself. When he said that he took kickbacks because of her rich family's attitude towards him- it would not be wrong. She was the one to tempt and fan his greed. It's another thing that once she managed to become wife, her passion wore off fast. When she was getting angry at him, I couldn't feel anything for her. He was selfish and greedy but she was also selfish and greedy for a married man. She still had that contract that all the marital property would belong to her only and in case of divorce he would have to leave. So while he might have taken kickbacks or whatever, she kept it. Raising child as a single person is not much when you have money and enough support from family and can get another spouse in future.

being a single mom and her reputation having been tainted is her payback in a way, don't you think? because the first wife did expose them publicly if i remember correctly. that's probably why after having the kid she had to move away. furthermore, if she wanted another husband one day, she'd likely have to explain how the kid came to be. i think it would be difficult for anyone to accept a woman with such a past, especially in the prestigious circles she was a part of. i also doubt that those kickbacks would remain hers since her husband committed financial crimes, they would likely be seized again during the investigation/ as punishment.

@@hellodarknesss.myoldfriend You didn't watch the full series I take it? First wife exposed them during custody battle. But then mistress married her ex and child is legitimate child. Husband committed crime and went to jail, so the divorce at this point cannot be blamed on her. Her being a home wrecker in past became an old story by this time. She got all the money and house though. Her reputation is hardly affected at this point. She is divorced single mother, but a rich one. She will get another guy sooner or later - if nothing else for similar reason she found the first one.

I agree - Honestly him having to clean house and give her all of the marital property really annoyed me. She was happy he screwed over his first wife and she didn't get a fair share of assets. She comes from wealthy family and didn't contribute to the house when he asked - he is still a scumbag but... - so basically I am happy he lost everything but I am really annoyed that she benefitted. She was so arrogant in pursuing him, looked down on his 1st wife as nothing - like when she was "offering help and consoling her about her departure from the bigger company." The first wife was so much more generous to the mistress than the mistress ever was to her. I really hope that the marital assets are cleaned up by the lawsuits and such. Child should get something but mistress basically got a ton of assets including funds from his first marriage because of the super expensive house purchase the mistress just had to have that took his previous money hidden from the first wife. Honestly though, he was such a scumbag I don't understand why he didn't buy the big house for his parents (their name) and then use a mortgage or rent the fancy house for the wife as his overall life goal was to minimize assets outside of his wife and parents, they don't even go to his kids. I also don't get why he signed the supplemental agreement. He is so greedy, her parents dislike him and she just left him not even 9mo into their marriage precipitating the agreement. He never got as much support from her family as he thought he would and the whole marriage/relationship was a mess. How he ever thought she wouldn't divorce him at some point I really don't get. Meanwhile he guarded against the wife who actually cared more about him/was more devoted-loyal, like his life depended on it.

The scumberg Wi Ming wooed the stupid socialite by showing her, what a nice, caring and sincere matured man he is compared to her rich suitors!...... 😂 He even celebrates her birthday. This makes her chase him, thinking he must really loves her but dare not admit it since he is such a nice family man....😂 The whole office including JiangXi, the 1st mistress saw it. They laughed behind her back because they know what kind of scumberg Wi Meng is. They said, she is naive and too pampered for her own good.

The 2nd part/continuation of the story: apparently the divorce happened and this occurs some time later, so not sure what all the terms were. The mistress is pregnant and learns how much fun it is to be the wife to the scumbag. It's nice to know the husband doesn't just cheat on women, but also in business and is under investigation. My wish for him to be miserable, broke and alone came true! 🥳😃 The ex-wife is happy with a man who actually cares about her and her daughter.

The mistress was warned by her father that he was a money grabbing scumbag, but she was just as bad and cheated with a married man with a family, well she well and truly got her Karma, she deliberately got pregnant, and he doesnt like kids!!, he never spent anytime with his beautiful daughter, so this baby stands no chance, but she did that so he would marry her, or rather her parents would have to agree to the marriage. He doesnt love the mistress, and she realises this ( its pretty obvious to all he was just using her tbh), but in the scene where he is drunk he is calling out for his ex wife!!, this guy was a serial cheater, this girl was not the first. In fact his wife becomes very good friends with his other mistress!!, they work together to take this scumbag down. His ex wife ends up with her old college friend who has liked her for years, he is very successful and wealthy but doesn’t flaunt it at all. He is so good to her and her daughter , the daughter adores him and he is so supportive of the FL in her career, he treats her as an equal ( unlike her scumbag ex). In this drama you wait patiently for the absolutely spectacular Karma to hit the ex husband, and it does like a train, his fall from grace is spectacular, he is so vile that it is delightful to watch him go down!!. 😂😂

Even though she's younger, pretty, richer, and has benefits, she still not as worthy as his capable ex wife. The look on her face is priceless and worth a bucket of popcorn and soda to watch. The karma inflicted on that cheating couple is worth the weight. The single/divorced motherhood that she wished on the ex wife was her own fate. She will be the divorced mother of an affair baby with an "ex"hubby in prison. Her dreams built on the ex wife's suffering and loss went up in smoke. I love how the ex wife ended up marrying her old college sweetheart. They are a match designed by fate.

If you have a chance, watch the entire drama. ALLIANCE Absolutely superb. The beautiful first mistress is worth a watch. She was from a poor family, had a beast of a mother, had to support a brother as well. She did not know he was married at first. One of the best drama I have ever watched. Highly recommenable.

The mitress should have gotten worse. She already figured out he had an affair with the other woman, too. And yet she still wanted him. She blew threw his precious money like the wind in a hurricane and he didnt get a penny back. I wish they would have shown him in jail pleading to his ex to help him. His selfish parents are probably homeless and with no one to care for them. Serves them right. His ex finally got a man who supports her and tells her the truth in everything she does. He never once told her no or you can't do that. The ex wanted a trophy and belittled her so people could say he had a brilliant wife who gave up everything for him. He cheated her every way he could. Funny how when he was drunk and incoherent, he still wanted his ex's love and care. He never really treated or even loved the mistress as a wife. She was a possession to get him more money and fame which he knew he couldnt get on his own. He used his first wife to get a job in her com pany. When she was offered a VP position first overseas, he wanted her to stay home with the child. Then he used his first mistress to close business and do his work. When Joyce came along, he saw highly educated, and board member power. He under estimated her not wanting to be a mistress forever. Nor did she want to be a mother to his child by his ex. Joyce knew she did wrong but thought if he had known her first, he wouldn't have married his wife. That is how she justified her actions. But in rewlity if he didnt marry his wife, he would have never been in a position to meet her. He was ruthless and cunning. He knew exactly how to play women. But un the end, he was always trash.

Some of the scenes only i saw, but i got the whole view, Everybody has strong character and they acted well. The background lighting effect is good The story is directed well especially the script. Maybe at the beginning its not that good enough but later its better I liked the villain character. He chose normal girl, poor girl, rich girl as his wife and mistress. Very cautious, cunning, manipulative , educated, with a goal not ambition. In an other angle, he created his dull wife to meet her ambitions in his way, the poor girl mistress to find her true love that is not him and a apprentice and learned many things in job than lazy from him an,rthe rich girl learned right from wrong. All may tried to balance their IQ & EQ in this. But something is missing in other characters. Everybody wants to win in their career?
