The first guy kept it 100% real😄 it's good for people to hear all the negatives and positives as well, so that your mind is absolutely prepared for what you are about to face and your decision is based on facts. This would psychologically prepare them. Welldone girl! Dis is by far one of the most honest and hilarious video I've come across on youtube 🤣🤣🤣

I totally disagree. The 2nd guy was more reasonable. The first guy has unresolved family issues that he needs get over. Peharps divorce his wife and return to Nigeria. The success rate of Nigerians living abroad is overwhelmingly positive. He sounds angry and sour

@@RandomMZ1412 Why do you guys feel it is appropriate to attack and demean whoever wants to live in Nigeria?? Why do you say someone who wants to live in Nigeria is bitter, have family issues and shouldn’t be listened to? Like, are you serious?? Some people won’t move abroad for N200m and that’s ok..What is this craze and madness for abroad?? Some black Americans are relocating to Africa..some hav E owes never to move to America again..Some British guys are living in Nigeria and living comfortably so..Yes, I do NOT want to move abroad and if my wife prefers to live abroad then we can live apart…This is going to be one of the many reasons most Nigerian families will scatter in the near future…home care abroad..Better talk about it before jumping in if you are still single..Don’t just assume everyone is crazy about going abroad…

@@proudlyafrican6240 I did not demean or attack the fellow. My comment has to do what he said and how he is saying it. Like I said in my comment, if he wants to return to Nigeria he can divorce his wife, return to Nigeria and live happily ever after. I agree with you that there millions of Africans/Nigerians that careless about moving abroad. However, that does not negate the success rate of those who did. Nothing in my comment was in the form of attacking or demeaning the guy. He sounds and look unhappy!

@@RandomMZ1412 I am not sure why people think it makes sense to be saying that a lot of people are successful abroad..of course people are successful everywhere..You think there aren’t successful people in Nigeria, Iraq, US, Japan, Afghanistan, Yemen, UAE, etc..People are successful in many countries and there are unsuccessful people everywhere too..The point the guy is trying to make is that if you are successful in Nigeria, think twice before leaving your job etc and relocate to start afresh..Some people never recover from that..and some do…Yes, he isn’t happy in the UK and May eventually leave UK..or stay..he just shared his opinion since the host asked them to be honest..don’t attack his views…you may disagree with it but who really cares what you think about his views..

I love the first husband's exposition! His candor and realistic opinion made it a balanced show which I appreciate. He is actually more real than others because after he gave his opinion, others started tilting towards his view. They literally made it look like there was no iota of regret at first. Common! It's an unfamiliar terrain and masquerading to be perfectly fine isn't helpful. I love both views as it made it a robust experience. UK is great but potential entrants need to be intimated on the good and the bad. For some people, money isn't everything. Great show!!!

My hubby arrived here in late October, wrote his CSCS test and just recently got a job of £40k per annum with company vehicle and a fuel card. Please nurses spouse, don’t be in a rush to get to UK. Get a skill esp those in construction, welding, fabricating . It’s really worth it. With time you do course and climb up a managerial position. Please take your time. Xx

To the first man, sometimes it is not just about you. You need to take solace in the fact that your kids will have access to world-class education and healthcare. I was a mariner and travelled around Europe a lot between 2006-2009. My colleagues then advised me to relocate but I refused. Later I lost the job in 2010 and never got a meaningful job until 2014. While I was on that job trying to pick up my life, Buhari happened and we were relieved. Some of my colleagues are in the village since 2016. You’ll think you’re comfortable in Nigeria until Nigeria happens to you: Currently, I’m looking forward to relocating permanently.I worked in the UK last year on GE gas turbines and met a girl from the East. I’ll move to the UK for the sake of my unborn kids. For their sake, every suffering would be worth it.

As you are relocating, pray that abroad does not also happen to you and your family..19 elementary kids were shot in Texas US for just going to school..Before then, about 10 blacks people were shot and killed in same US for being black..So yes, as you are in Nigeria pray that Nigeria does not happen to you..As you relocate, pray that abroad does not happen to you too…Just saying On the other hand, why do some people always think whoever does not want to stay abroad isn’t thinking about their kids? Funny that the same UK comes to same Nigeria to recruit nurses and doctors and engineers..Why aren’t they hiring those children that you stayed in the UK for their upbringing? How come Nigerian-trained professionals who Nigeria happened to are the ones the same UK is coming to recruit?? Pls explain

@@proudlyafrican6240 you want them to recruit children? Or what exactly is your question? 😒 Anyways on the issue of recruitment, it’s no news that there has been a global shortage of health care professionals (which worsened during covid). Great video, love the honest accounts of each person’s experience. The 1st guy had great advice! What kills us here in London is the rent😱 and other bills. We cannot live with other people because we have to keep our 3 little girls safe therefore we minimise risk by having our own private space. But we are left with little savings after sending money to parents in Africa etc and we have no choice but to support them. We are basically sacrificial lambs so our children can have the best outcomes for their futures. Thereafter we can help our nieces and nephews to improve their lives..it’s a domino effect and we honestly have NO REGRETS!

Absolutely, Many Husbands do not need to come into the UK to stay permanently. They really can be flying in and out. It is tough but it is possible. No point dragging our middle aged Husbands across the Atlantic if he doesn't want to start from scratch. I won't do that to my husband too. So Yes, It isn't the ideal for many husbands who are comfortable and settled back home in Nigeria. Too stressful a move. For the young ones, please go ahead and move together.

The first guy is so pained, he should have really stayed back in my honest opinion. Yes when you have money there are certain things you can't offer your children back home. Things like good schools, good medicals , good roads, good exposure, social amenities and so on. I will rather my family is safe and their future is secured than thinking of my self. The UK is routined because that is how they function and sorry to say many born and bred African Nigerian men are not used to routine and think of themselves. Everything abroad is an insult to their integrity especially if they have to do certain things that they are not used to. It's good to know their honest opinion. Lovely to watch

The first man can still be living in Nigeria and doing his business but visiting his family. It’s not the best but the man seems unhappy. I don’t completely agree with him that if you’re doing well stay. My Husband and I are doctors, and my Husband was doing very well in Nigeria. (I didn’t study in Nigeria, and I had no intentions of living there either) He was a millionaire BUT he looked at the country and said his children will never grow up in a country like that. He was almost at the peak in his career in Nigeria with many businesses. He left and came to the UK to start again almost from scratch. His mates were consultants already while he was starting another training all over again. There are situations that money will not help you in Nigeria eg insecurity, education, health and certain opportunities are absent. For instance during the Covid lockdown many of the rich couldn’t travel and they died in Nigeria. Also after working in the UK you have pension and you’re taken care of in old age. You might be rich but you’re one sickness away from abject poverty in Nigeria. In the UK it’s GOD’s grace and consistency with a plan. It’s a working system that you build up gradually. No short cuts. I sense that the first man is used to the patriarchal system and “faux elitism/classism” in Nigeria so it’s difficult for him to adjust to the life here. I pray GOD Helps him

It's not really a good idea especially if u are not a professional ; medicine is in high demand so one can take such risk .If you are doing great in Nigeria and you don't have prospects of a good job don't risk it all e.g selling everything and leaving to go and try it but going first to test it and see if it will work for you while keeping things running in Nigeria.Personally I am considering a 10 year plan of going back to Nigeria to establish things ,by then I will have ILR and I can go and come as I wish.

Aunty how many people died in naija let be objective nau. More people died in UK, Europe, US, and Canada than anywhere in Africa. Your husband reason to move is good for him but might not be good for everyone. I can relate with the first guy. Flexibility is not one of his core skills. He is so focused on himself and neglects the positive sides of living in the UK. He should ask his children if they want to return to Nigeria. As parents, relocating is not about us...you are giving your children the opportunity to make a choice. If he intends to stay in the UK, he must drop all the titles he has as an African man. I love my time freedom so much, but if I must work a few years to finally get what I desire then I will adapt. Can we drop this mindset about care work? Work on yourself, you have so many transferable skills that are needed in the UK. All you need is just one or two interviews.

It means not having a life again and living for the kids, not caring about your own happiness anymore because you're now a parent? It makes no sense. There should be balance. Only a happy parent can raise happy children. His wife shouldn't have forced him over and probably just leave him doing his business in Naija while he shuttles frequently to the UK to be with them. Simple....instead of making him an unhappy man while she is happy. It's called selfishness.

As a Brit whose parents moved and worked in other countries, and then doing the same as an adult with my own family, I understand the opportunities but also the prices you pay in other ways and the sacrifices it takes, whether its career and job opportunities for the other partner and taking a knock to your own, loneliness and learning to live in completely different environments and also the effects on your children and other extended family and adjusting to other cultures. Its not for everyone and has its challenges. You do have to be on the same page as your partner, because it can bring big stresses and can break couples and families when someone is very unhappy and lonely and becomes frustrated. Sometime the partner who has come into an established job and meets people in work and strikes up some social outlet, with career going well cannot fully understand what it is like for the partner having to construct a life from nothing to something, especially when they are making sacrifices on career and not doing what they aspired to do and worked hard for. It takes time! I genuinely wish you all the best and hope that you and your families achieve everything you hope for together.

I am here sitting in SA wondering how is it possible that labor laws allows 12 hours working day, but I know that even in SA "foreigners" are abused. Thank you for an eye opening interview of the husbands. Love how they are taking it all so positively. This is what summarizes the failures of our African leaders.

I like how real the first guy was. It was so interesting listening to them. How about trying to go back to school, or taking diploma or certification programs. Would that be possible for a dependant with children? Incase a person wants to to transition to white collar job role In the UK.
@ScholasticaUgboka

Yes it is possible to go back to school on a dependant visa However that option is Available right now cause his kids are still small and his wife needs his support and attention now to cater for them

After watching this video I realized that it had buttressed the point of view of a slang "THIS LIFE NO JUST BALANCE" Come to think of it, they all said their candid opinions, while some are fully ready to relocate (probably they initiated the move from their home country), some are compelled to (forcefully with some conditions) If I start to talk, we go dey here till tomorrow But one thing I've learnt lately is that do what makes you happy not at the expense of your family (if they are loving)

I like the akwaibom guy already..😄 let me continue watching ooo. Workable health system is understatement. Uk has Excellent health system. Nigeria health care system is wack. That is the thing I fear most for my kids and family. And you wonder why we pray a lot here. That Is the only option available to most people here. And God comes through most times for me and my family tho. The first guy has some serious issues tho. I am still coming to the UK. Thanks to the other two guys too. That first guy still have an option to go back to Nigeria is not a do or die thing. I think is still there because his making a lot of money from the health care work. Which yeye business was he doing in Nigeria, he can still go back to the business now. You don't know what it means to live in a secure environment. People's life are not safe in Nigeria, traveling is a problem because no security on our road, by grace of God u go out and come back to ur house without been kidnapped, that is one major reason u see big guys relocating with their family. Was the first guy working with is certificate in Nigeria? Why does he think he can now work with it in UK; Oga if u wan use certificate work for UK take a master program and stop complaining or u come back to Nigeria.
@ScholasticaUgboka

He is here because he loves his family and wants to support his wife. it is true that he is making more money here but he was also doing well for himself back home in Nigeria that is why he never thought of living abroad for greener pastures. it is not easy to leave your comfort zone to a new place to start all over from scratch, He merely gave his opinion which was the bitter truth, if the tables were turned and we as nurses are expected to leave our Matron position with all the respect and money back home to come over to the UK to be a dish washer many of us will refuse and be bitter about it too.
