Matt Rhule is doing a wonderful job with discipline,accountability and mental toughness. I said get his extension ready right now

Sip if you're talking about Billy Sims 1978 fumble inside the 5 yard line he didn't drop it. He got popped hard and future Gov Pillen jumped on it. I remember distinctively watching that game at my grandparents house with the entire family gathered around the TV which was coming in grey and snowy via those old time TV antennas in rural Nebraska. The length of time and the fans enduring dedication to the program decade after decade is what makes Husker Nation and Nebraska Football truly special. GBR!

I was at that 1978 game and that was the hardest hitting game I've ever seen. All the Oklahoma fumbles in that game were caused by hard hits.

@@BiggRedd-14e A ref ruled down by contact. No review back then. That ref was either an OU fan or had money bet on the game.

My first memory choo choo winters Breaking Free in 65 for first husker touchdown to beat Oklahoma 21-9. OU still had white helmets.

2001 oklahoma for me to. You can see me in the front row as I was a student in south stadium in that corner. It was wild. Best memory. But I do have a lot of memories working the southwest corner upper concessions for 7 years. And getting $100 tip from texas fan we passed around in 1998. The ricky williams game with 37 carries. Great game to the end

Haha - my husband and I were living in Columbia MO after getting married in 2000. We skipped the Mizzou game and watched the OU game in 2001 at a bar - even though we had Mizzou tix and were on the way there. I had to try to convince my coworkers we must have just sat in the wrong seats! 😂

Favorite? From the Knothole section, (Now South Stadium) NU had Kansas backed up to our Endzone. They gave it to a kid named Gale Sayers. 99 yd TD remains Big 8 record.

We only had 48 offensive plays and scored 34 points, that's pretty good effeciency

We still covered, despite the conservative defense and missing two key linemen. I don’t feel overly confident going into ILL, but I’m not overly worried either.

I think, unfortunately, Coach Rhule is ahead of the curve when it comes to 2nd half strategy for scoring, or the lack thereof. He may have the vision to anticipate a playoff schedule, but other schools haven’t gotten the memo and are still running up the score.
@jeffcox2136Ай бұрын
Illinois always plays tough and tries to hit you mouth early and often. I'd like/hope to see Nebraska play a solid 4 quarter game. They will win if they play tough and not turn the ball over.

After Friday night's ranked game, Nebraska will potentially have 2 more ranked games by the time they meet Ohio State. Rutgers should be 4-0 when they play Nebraska and possibly ranked by then. Indiana will also be ranked and undefeated more than likely. Their schedule sets up nicely. Should be 6-0 when Nebraska comes to town. I cannot wait for the next month and a half of games. It's gonna be exciting 'must see TV' for Husker fans.

Illinois defense giving 5 yards per Carry to opposing RBs , their o-line giving up a sack every 8.5 snaps (100th in fbs) the qb does get rattled and makes mistakes under pressure 🎉🎉🎉 gbr!

Mazucca was the lowest graded starting lineman versus Colorado, why do people keep saying he is our best lineman, this is BS, with his attitude and his recent performance he is not the guy. Lutofsky is grading about the same if not better than Mazccua at least in pass protection. Mazuccua was replaced against Colorado and rumor is he blew up at a coach. Mazucaa has to shape up or ship out. Our o-line will be tested against Illinois and we will find out what we really have then.

I hope Sipple refrains from writing another passive-aggressive article on Rhule and his staff. Sippple thinks that he has the right to make his off-color remarks because he was stated prior to the season that Nebraska needs to be 9-3 to have a successful season. It's not about you, Steven.
