As you've probably figured out, their larvae eat the roots of your plants... Those fly paper ribbons do help a bit against them. I haven't tried it, I really should, but apparently black mustard seed essential oils help a great deal.

@@marshawargo7238 no just put it in warm spot. Widow or glass door anywhere that has sun and not below 40f. Keep moist, and no treated water or fertilizer, I put mine in kitchen window then when it's warm I'll put them out side for little while. U can tell if there's something in it u can see threw so u can see the fly. I like them my son loves them,I buy mine from lowes they have kit where u can plant the trap and comes with other one called pitcher plant don't like those there more of like al straw.but kids like watching them

I bought one of those plants a few years ago, it didn't eat any flies and it died after about a week! Now I use mosquito nets, no more pesky flies! Love you Sherpa! 🐺💙
