Same trimmer bought mine new at lowes about 5 months ago and I do landscaping as a side hustle so I really used the snot out of it, and just like yours first time start, took box off shaft, filled up fuel tank, upon first start up it started ok, followed break in procedure, had to adjust carb ( a little too lean from the factory), ran good, but first thing I noticed is how high the engine has to rev up before the clutch grabs and head spins ( mine was no different than yours in the video) and also how much the clutch slips upon cutting heavy grass (no different whatsoever from yours), that's not normal. I lived with it for a few months and did quite a lotta hard cutting with the unit and i also noticed after around 15 mins of cutting all of a sudden the clutch stops slipping under heavy load and engages right off idle like it should. Loosen 3 clamp screws engine slides off shaft you dont even have to disconnect throttle cable or kill wire, pulled front eng. Cover to find out there was a coating of grease all over the clutch shoes and drum, cleaned that off and put it back together also the string cutting blade on the head guard, i flipped mine 180 degrees so it allowes a little more string to come out of the head ( with it facing forward like mine was from the factory the engine would scream at full throttle and you couldn't get enough string out) and yeah. Other than that i love the trimmer its a reliable powerful little beast on a stick with plenty of power to do the job every time! Always starts after a couple pulls, runs perfect on any angle at any rpms, light, ergonomical, reliable, well made 👌

I just bought the same one about a month ago. I haven't used it yet because of the winter weather. Can't wait for spring to get here. Thanks for the video.

I bought this model, took the guard off and put the renegade blade on it and I’ve been cutting 4 inch trees down with. It seems to work quite well starts easy. definitely worth buying the .86 gallon of gas from them at the same time and make sure to register to get the five year extended warranty from Husqvarna.

I've owned the Husqvarna 128ld for 15 years if not longer it's been great, I decided to buy the 130L a couple of weeks ago just to have an extra because I don't know when the 128ld is gonna decide no to day buddy and with inflation next year that same 130L will be 350.

This thing is a beast, I have a brush blade on mine and cleared a 1.5 acre lot that was heavily overgrown with it. I love mine

I've got 2 of these, one with a brush blade and one with the string trimmer head. I love them and my Husqvarna lawn tractor as well. All these do a great job on my property

I just purchased one of these today. {April 12, 2023} I spent almost two hours attempting to get it to start - no luck. I've purchased several weed-wackers over the years, including the Husqvarna brand, but this is the first time that I haven't been able to get one started. I followed the directions repeatedly, with no luck. I called the store of purchase and was told that I could bring it in and that someone would assist me in getting it started. So disappointed. I was hoping to do my lawn TODAY, before the rain tomorrow and the next few days. -and yes, I did remember to fill the tank with the gas/combo first. Ha. Ha. Also, I've since read reviews on this item and realize that some other buyers have encountered this same issue.

My piston keeps locking up,pull plug and hard tap with brass punch to unlock(not buying another),buy two year throw aways in future
@michaelkuzmadutton7879
@michaelkuzmadutton7879 Жыл бұрын
If you got the piston to free up and it started back up and ran, then good. Don't keep running it the same way you've been running it though, I'd recommend first off, don't hold it full throttle for more than 10 seconds continuously without letting off, and if your cutting light grass and or don't have a lot of string sticking out of head ease off throttle just a little lower the rpms when you don't need full throttle power, also idk if you mix your own fuel, use canned fuel, or what, but whatever you use just mix in a small splash extra of 2 stroke oil, ( I mix my own 40:1 eth free 90 octane pump gas). If your clutch engages as late and/or slips as much as the one in the video it's bc they made the mistake of greasing up the clutch shoes and drum at the factory, so clean the grease off friction material with brake clean and rag. Also, the blade that cuts the string short, make sure it is facing backwards and not forwards so you get the most amount of string while you cut, lastly, ik on mine the carb was just a tad too lean from factory (probably to meet emissions) get the adjustment tool and richen it up just ever so slightly ( idle speed might need adjustment too). Sry for the laundry list but try following my advice should help the piston run cooler and never lock up again hopefully. I hope this helps!

I bought the 130L kodel you reviewed. After a while, the trimmer line bumper head: once you begin to replace the line will stick or become tangled up inside, then not feed out properly. This is my biggest complaint. I waiste alot of time just taking off the head, retread the spool, have it eventually get tangled or sticks inside, and sometimes, I discard like a foot of line. Is there a better head?
@Dirtbiker8910
@Dirtbiker8910 Жыл бұрын
Look into speed feed heads, that’s what I run on my Husqvarna. It will take about 18ft of line and holds up to everyday abuse during the summer.

I bought the same trimmer 2 weeks ago. Used it for the first time yesterday, and spent more time taking it apart to get more string, that I did cutting. Bump feed doesn't work at all.

😅 it has a rapid reload. That’s where u went wrong at. Stick your string thru make sure it’s even and twist the head of the trimmer. It’s never going to bump feed if your manually putting in the string. When u run out of string don’t even worry about opening the head unless it’s string jammed in it after u free it out head back o and repeat what I jus told u. Make sure the head is on properly especially if u been manually feeding it the old way. This trimmer don’t work that way. When I run out of string in mines I jus put another line in even the string out and twist. Rapid reload is the way

How am I supposed to start this thing? I just bought it brand new, read the weird ass directions and cranked it once, it died while trimming some thick grass, and now it won’t turn on again.

Not the instructions, but what i do and always works, is set full choke (pull blue slider as far up as it goes), prime x12, NO throttle, pull 1-3 times, it'll start run and die, then choke all the way off (not half choke, but no choke), full throttle and 1-3 more pulls and the instant it starts let off throttle and it will idle, ive been starting mine that way since 1st start the trimmer is now 5 months old and has roughly 4 1/2 hrs of run time so far still going strong 🤷😊

I also had to adjust carburetor right out of the box too it might start harder if carb is not adjusted properly.

Mine is junk, used it one time and now it won’t start, sent it back to Lowes and it’s going to take 30 days to get it back. That will be my last husquvarna and last purchase at Lowe’s, both are crap.
