Husqvarna 145BT Blower Fix-Up Using A 150BT For Parts!

You aren't the only leaf victim, Tom. There is a magnolia tree across the street in front of a school at a 45 degree angle from my house. Unfortunately, the prevailing wind blowing around the Bermuda High blows the leaves in my direction from the southeast. One day I watched a leaf which had fallen off the tree, work its way across the school lawn, down the very wide school bus driveway, across the street, climb the concrete curb onto one of my 2 driveways, only to come to rest on my front lawn. It was amazing to see how a slight breeze could move it along, especially up the curb. So many fall off that I had to drill a hole in a wood dowel and stick a ring shank nail in it to use to pick them up, since they look like pieces of trash, and even a lawn tractor won't disintegrate them. They are durable leaves, so the nail holds them firmly until I force them into the trash can. They actually make a scratching noise moving on concrete. It they were flatter they couldn't climb the curb and the school busses would destroy them. But the wind gets under them and lifts them right up. So Tom, it could be worse.

Toooom Doooobyyyy! Hey, Tom! Just Frankensteined a string trimmer! Used the power head from a Troybilt to replace the blown Crapsman. Changed out the shaft and throttle handle, carb and a few other things. Runs and works like a champ! Have to take some pics of it and all the new(er) attachments and sell it. With the metal guards and casing, that machine has to be well over 20 years old. You can't beat Husqvarna backpack blowers.

I bought a yellow plastic electric spark tester and it came in same day as one of my grandsons birthday, he was so happy and excited I had to let him put it in his toolbox, yeah I ordered me one 😢😢😢. We love it 😍 fast

My mom has a 130BT that is 8 years old. She uses it every day, and it has well over 2000 hours on it. I replaced the carb and fuel lines this year, deleted the spark arrestor, and replaced a couple of kill switches over the years, but that's it. She has definitely gotten every penny out of it.

@@TomDobyMowerRepair I have a BT145 bought from Lowe's from Dec. 2005, 19 years old, still runs great , never did any repairs. Kawasaki engine ! Down south weather wise runs every weekend after grass cut or blowing leaves ....

Hey tom you know anything about onan engines, was gave a tractor that runs after a major tare down one of the rods has damage but crank very little damage what should i do. Would like to rebuild it but parts are crazy any ideas

I wouldn't part that 150BT out. It's in like new condition. I would just wait until I come across a rough machine with a comparable engine, do an engine swap on that one and sell it.
