Not only did you do a fantastic video on removing the carb on a Husqvarna 435 chainsaw, you also made a how to video for others making how to videos. Absolutely no nonsense to your video. Didn't have to listen to jokes or about the kids or dogs. One of the very best how to videos I have seen.

I'm about to do this on a Husqvarna T435 this week for a friend who is a landscaper. This was a huge help since I haven't worked on many Husqvarna products. Very similar to Stihl. Idle fines. I'm thinking it dirty/partially clogged since it runs perfect at WOT for about a minute after priming it and suddenly dies. Fuel lines look good. Will be replacing the air and fuel filter along with the spark plug. If cleaning the carb doesn't resolve it, I'm throwing a new one on. Again, I appreciate the visual video.
@ragfour93032 жыл бұрын
Almost certainly the diaphragm in the carb getting old and crusty, not pumping well enough to supply enough fuel at WOT. Get a carb rebuild kit. Start from the original carb rather than changing everything with a new one. I have had many pattern carb fails.

Great video! It helped me a lot! The throttle and the air filter housing had me stumped. One thing... I used my long needle nose pliers to get the three Allen bolts out. Just grab and pull! Easier than the magnet. Husky definitely could have done a better job. I have a couple of 455 Ranchers and have changed carbs on those a few times. 5 minutes and I'm done. The 455 is a much easier saw to work on. This little one is a pain!

Thanks for the helpful video. I was struggling with the throttle linkage until you showed the little plastic clip to release it. If it helps anyone, this saw is also marketed as a McCulloch CS410 Elite it's identical. Mine (I live in Spain) has a small plate saying 'Made by Husqvarna Spain' and all the Husqvarna part numbers fit it. Also for it's detractors, I've had this saw for 8 years and it has been very good, changed the carb but the other one is good, just refurbed it with a kit.

Hey, I removed and cleaned and replaced per your instructions, still having starting issue where it runs a few RPMs then dies. I feathered the choke a little and was able to get a few more RPMs, but not much. Fresh fuel, new spark plug, etc. Any hints to further troubleshoot? It has been a bullet proof power tool for many years until now.
@ragfour9303 Жыл бұрын
Probably a crusty diaphragm issue. It is running only on the priming. Get a carb rebuild kit. Avoid cheap whole aftermarket carbs, I have limited success with them. Best of luck :)

To remove that 3rd pesky screw, I backed it out as much as possible with the Allen wrench, then used a tiny screwdriver inserted from above to hold the screw in place, then grabbed onto it with needle nose pliers & pulled it out.

Had every thing up to the peg in the rubber. (not the choke lever-yet) It would had taken me a while to see that peg thing. And even if I did, *finagling that housing off just seems...well... So that was planned by the engineers on a computer? Pretty good software, being that it was coded with a, 'Finagle Subroutine." Oh, I noticed you must use one of those low wood chips produced chains. Yeah. When you showed us the air filter. And, I think this is a rag 1 venture. Thank you for the video. *Finagle - To wiggle and twist.
