a brief video of another place to check if you lose power on your riding lawn mower. lots of other videos on troubleshooting wiring so I'm not going over that. just a couple places to check first before digging in.

thank you, had all the same symptoms. The battery was going bad, so had to jump it week before, installed new battery, thought I fried electrical system, nope just fuse, had a spare on my motorcycle to get me going.

Good find and not an expected place to look. Although my XUV550 Gato and Z920A will show the hours with key on my John Deere 155c and LA150 only show hours with engine running. Good find and easy fix for you. Good video.

The hour meter should only show when running. I've left the key on for days and those hours keep racking up. I turn the fuel shut off to let the gas drain from carb to avoid varnish if for some reason it ends up sitting unused for months, then when it dies I forget about the key. So now I have about 270 additional hours on the meter that are not from the engine running. My fault, but frustrating.

@@Budl1te I certainly understand the problem, imagine the hours if you went on vacation. I'm not sure why the Gator and Zero Turn will turn the hour meter on without engine not running but not the lawn tractors. Not sure how they do it other than meter only works when charging system is working? Maybe meter runs off A/C side of rectifier.

Husqvarna, John Deer, Kohler. How many hrs.?

It is hard to tell. If I leave the key on the hours continue to go up I don't know if the previous owner had the same issue. Right now it's sitting at about seven hundred and twenty hours.

@@Budl1te I just welded my frame. 425hrs. Key on. Time's Ticking. I saw a lot of debris where it was laying. Most wire's that break. Break from shaking, rub through, over heating and corrosion.

I had started it, moved it a little, shut it off to air up the tires then wouldn't start after that. Definitely corrosion. It had 410 hrs on it when I got it.
