0:01 People keep saying that small saw is not for the wood pile. They're right but conversely, a big saw is no go ideal for throwing on your quad or or side by side. A big saw is no fun lugging around all day clearing trail. I have a 372XP an ms362 , two MS170s and a 550 XP. They all have their place. The big saw is nice for staying right on the wood pile. They're no fun lugging around the woods, unless you're a real deal strongman logger.

Hi Chris. I have 550xp and love it for small stuff and limbing. However, I am not fond of the smaller curf and narrow chain compared to the 3/8 chain that you have on the 572. I find the larger chain easier to file. With that said, I would suggest that perhaps the 562 xp may be better for you as a smaller lighter saw than the 572. The one advantage is that you can use the same bar and chain as your 572.
