I have the exact same saw - got it for 350 bucks brand new about 10 years ago from a company getting out of selling saws. Mine doesn't have the heat release in the top, and has the old style gas caps. It's been an amazing saw, I have hundreds of hours on it at this point. You got a great deal.

This saw turned out to be one of the better deals I've made in awhile, it got a lot of use in the last logging season off camera has paid for itself many times over. So far so good it's been running great many people don't like these first gen autotune's finicky quirks but I never minded how they are to start bought one of my first autotune saw's back in early 2015, sure like how they run and perform!

I also got a good deal on one for 350 that was used a few times so practically brand new. Love the saw its such a work horse and never let me down. I've used a 455 rancher previously for a decade and compared to the 555 its a huge difference that i wish i purchased this saw over the rancher i bought

The 455 rancher is a way overhyped saw at least that's my take on it they weigh pretty much the same as a 365 or 372XP OE's but not even close in the power to weight ratio to heavy for their lack luster performance, I would rather run a 450 rancher a little less power but quit a bit less weight and actually cut pretty good for light firewood duty but are no 555. 5 series saw's are in that power to weight ratio that's hard to beat plus their anti-vibe is the best of any saw I have run yet and yes that includes some of the new Stihl saw's I've run their good but just not as smooth.

A lot of these early first gen autotune's had issues with hot restart and lots of them are fine with little to no problems, don't know what's at the core of it really. lot's of different opinions on the causes many people think it has to do with the carb's but some guy's have switched carb's from a good running different saw only to have the same thing still plague that problem saw. I think it could be a tank vent issue just my thinking on this, a lot of people don't know or have forgotten past history on some of the early 200 series Husqvarna and Jonsered 600 series saw's long before autotune came along; many of those saw's suffered from tank vent problem's not all but there was a good bunch of them did back in the day. I had a 630 super my dad had a 630 super 2 and my brother had a early 630 non super and they all ran good restarted good never an issue with tank vent vapor lock or hot restart but... My brother's buddy he used to log with had a 630 super a couple year's newer than my saw and he had nothing but issue's with hot restart with his saw. I also know a few local guy's that had 266's and 268's with that same issue and a whole bunch more guy's with the same saw's that never had an issue with theirs, turn's out Husqvarna used four yes 4 different tank vent's in those saw's over the year's in their production run and that's were all the problem's came from. I have a Jonsered 670 that has had nothing but tank vent issues it's whole life and yes it has a different vent system then my other saw's of that era, I suspect Husqvarna may have done something similar with these early 500 series saw's before correcting the issue. I have never took the time to look into it and if memory serves me right guy's were talking about two different type of tank vent's being used in some of these early 500 series saw's so is that the cause who knows but it's possible. Sorry for the long winded reply but just giving you some back history and sorry to hear your saw is one of those problematic one's.
