I'm a big 372 guy but since i bought a 572 earlier this year its my go to. Smoothest saw I've ever ran, more power than the 372. I run a 24" stihl light bar on it and Its a great combo. Husqvarna did a great job with this saw!

Picked up a 572 a couple of years ago and it's a great saw. It's bone stock and has more than enough power for my needs doing firewood and the odd felling job here and there. It started leaking fuel out of the sight window on the tank recently and thought that was a bit strange. Have you ever seen one do that? Talked to my dealership and they've never seen it happen but it's still under warranty so a new tank is on its way. Backordered till February 😑. Enjoy your holidays!

think of it a different way. if they didn't improve emissions, there wouldn't be any huskys now. the epa is very strict. soon, no matter how hard the manufacturers try you will only be able to buy battery powered saws, so stock up now... you've been warned.

Hey Donny, thanks for taking the time to post another video during the holiday season - interesting as always! BTW -- how's the healing process for your foot coming along? Hoping things are going well in that regard.

How would you compare the 572 to the 372 after you are done walkerizing them? I just got my 372 from you and man that saw is a beyond what I thought it could be. I’m over the moon happy with it

That’s awesome the 572 is nice but I’m glad you like the 372 I did was it a new one non x torque
@jghulzenga11 сағат бұрын
@ ya it was bought from a farmer who barely used it and I had it for about three years after that. Then found you and figured I better get this saw to Donny! So it’s basically brand smoking new! It’s performs absolutely amazing and that’s an understatement!

Awesome vid. What is wrong with husky light bars? I got a 24" husky light for my 372, should I have gotten a still light?
@donnywalker4691Күн бұрын
The husky light bars are good but with the long ones stihl are lighter I would run 28 and shorter of husky lights better metal

@@donnywalker4691Donny, do you know of anyone that makes a 30” lightweight bar? I’m looking for one that is workable for my 372. So far all I can find is a regular Oregon. My stock 372 pulls a 30” but not a 32”. I’m more than happy with my saw “as is”, so I really don’t want it prepped up.

i have a couple oem cylinders and pistons for my dolmar 6100s that i run here in new hampshire with 28" bars. would you be able to lightly port and clean them up without having to send in the saws? they spin over 13k stock and run great. i can install the parts.

Donny.... You gotta mention the weight. The 572 is a fatty. There's a pound and a half difference between the 572xp and 462c. I know how important anti vibe is... But so is weight.
@jordanmcnamara9557Күн бұрын
What Sthil lost in weight they lost in bearing and clutch quality.
@donnywalker4691Күн бұрын
I agree but running long bars here most guys don’t care about the weight years before they would run like a 288 with a 32 regular bar so now they run lighter saws light bars good for the old loggers eh
@Matt-416Күн бұрын
@jordanmcnamara9557 Bearing quality? What? You might want to research that a little bit. The 5 series huskies are renowned for poor bearings. To the point that they literally redesigned multiple crankshafts and sell entire crankcase instead of replacement bearings. Remember when the 046 came out to compete with the early 371? And all the husky guys said that the throttle response, and light weight were so much more important than torque? Well.... How's that going now?
@Matt-416Күн бұрын
@donnywalker4691 I can't disagree. But after 22 years cutting timber on the right coast.. never once heard of a guy complaining about vibration. You have. But, I've heard about weight in 3,ft of snow. Which is why the 394 was chosen over the 066.
