Actually a good "review" video on the proper way to split Chainsaw cases apart. Using the proper "shop" tools from Husqvarna. Applies to ALL metal case Husqvarna's

Yes, I fabricated a tool using a short section of unistrut (C channel) some fender washers and a long bolt and nut for the jack bolt. Works like a charm and didn't cost a penny as everything used was sourced from scrap.👍

Spreading the knowledge around like jam on toast, for those that want to learn here it is. Lot's of great info in the last few video's you've made recently, I know these type of video's do not always get the most view's or comment's but very well done and insightful all the same; take care.

I've got the tool for 357sas they have stuffers too. Would be nice if they had a universal version for them all. Thanks for the video.

Is there a reason why the factory don't put Loctite on the screws, it would just make sense to do so. Especially when they started getting saws back with these issues

But they do, on the 572 the bar oil pump had loctite on them. Early 562's would send replacement cases NOT threaded, so ramming in the case screws both threaded the case screw holes and made them stay there. That was the first time I saw them put thought into thread and vibration

Walt, is there anyway to “realistically” remove the “stuffer” part of the crankshaft, or is the mass so much that it’ll be detrimental to the saws lifespan? The reason that I ask is that the “stuffers” that I’ve seen in the past look like the were sloppy and loose on the crank. Also, is it feasible to put a non stuffer crank into a stuffer saw if it has the same B&S AND piston weight? Just trying to find out for knowledge sake. Because you don’t know if you don’t ask 😊

On those actually u can. BUT on 562/555 the stuffers are also a "shim" at the sides of the crank to bearing. Can cut them I guess. OR just put in a 555 crank. So it depends on the model and which direction u are going. It's more about the total measurement from side to side and if the stuffer is a part of that.
