This is a very sturdy and well built mower. I thought I wouldn't like the foot operated speed control but after one use kzbin.infoUgkxTZSPVwJFBv2hORqhQamtxi-tAe5K2EtC , I can't believe I ever had one without it. It drives like a car with an automatic transmission. Easy to adjust mowing speed according to grass depth/thickness. I have yet to get used to the long throw of the blade engagement lever but kind of get why it is that way. It allows you to hold mowing for short moments if you need. The engine seems very substantial and the frame has very little flex, both adding up to an impressive package. All my previous tractors were 18 to21 hp with 42in decks. This one is 23/46. I mow about 1.5 acres about every 5 days here in Alaska and that mowing time has been reduced by about 20%, partly due to the very tight turning radius. No loop arounds lol. Hour meter, cruise control, reverse mowing capability,deck cleanout and easy assembly all add up to a very well thought out tractor.

I bought a John Deere utility trailer for my Husqvarna tractor which I use all of the time. Haul branches, bags of leaves, soil, flowers, watering cans, pots and garden tools. It makes working your yard so much easier.

I finally got a riding mower with a 42" deck (craftsman t-110) after about ten years of weed eating our entire 1.3 acre property 🥵😩🤕. I definitely put some miles on my back after all that. You definitely Need a Riding Mower after doing All that pushing.Couldn't imagine push mowing 2.5 acres when it's 90 plus degrees outside in July.I push mowing my 3/4 of an acre yard the first year or two after I bought my house 32 years ago.Wasn't to bad during the spring and faw but summer Sucked.Plus it took me 2 hours to do it.

I bought one of these, exact model, in the summer of 2019 and it's been a pain in the ass since day one! The first mowing, the valve cover gasket leaked on the muffler. I was told by a Lowe's representative that I had to take it to another town 19 miles away to get it fixed. I called the repair facility and they said they charge $60 to pick it up because I don't have a trailer to haul it! I borrowed a trailer from my son-in-law and took it to the repair facility. It took two weeks before I got it back! It doesn't mow level, as it leaves ridges in the yard, so I hauled it back and had them check the deck level and they said it was ok. That was another week. When I shut the PTO down, a screaming sound emitted from the deck area and it sounded like a spindle was locked up. That was another week in the shop. They said the brake on the PTO squeals when its dirty. Then in the middle of mowing the yard this year, the parking brake linkage came apart and I was so pissed off, I fixed it myself. I went to Lowe's to see about a buyback but they said it could only be returned after 30 days. The manager told me that someone at Lowe's gave me the wrong information about repairs that I was supposed to contact them and they would come and get it and have it repaired. It came with a two year warranty but I was wise enough to purchase the 5 year extended warranty. I am totally unhappy with this POS junkheap and it looks like I'm stuck with it! It replaced a Craftsman lawnmower with it with a Kohler engine that lasted me 25 years without ANY problems except for the fact I wore out three decks on it! Glad you're happy with yours!

I had a few problems right out of the box with this Hus mower. Bent spindle causing excessive vibration etc. Got them fixed and and have enjoyed using the mower on our acreage. Not quite the quality of a JD or Kubota but half the price. Pay attention to details and keep the underside of the deck clean and there will be no issues. Use this unit plus several others on our land and enjoy it thoroughly.

You should also explain the pull out rod in back of mower. This releases drive system so you can push or tow mower should you have a breakdown..

These Intek engines are known for CAM failures. How is yours holding up? I bought mine, summer of 2019. I change the oil and oil filter every season. No issues so far!! I love it!

My grandfather has one. He doesn't use it much anymore because he has been through alot since 2023. He has non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and when his liver is not functioning properly, it causes him to go into a fog and be confused. High levels of ammonia happen and it causes weakness.

My biggest problem with this mower is the seat frame can't handle a big guy like me. The seat slide lock will disengage at times and the seat slides on it's own. Otherwise amazing machine. What used to take me all day on my old Craftsman now takes me an hour or less

Just brought mine home yesterday, but we had a series of T storms. We have a RAM 3500 that is a bit high off the ground...a neighbor is loaning some ramps later so i can get it out! I hope that goes well...they used a fork lift to put it in. I was handed a yucky envelope a bit damp with the hose adapter and manuals and keys, not a plastic bag like i see on YT. I hope it wasn't a return. I asked and they assured me it was new. I cannot walk well due to a spinal injury, so cannot handle a walk behind (drag behind). And there are no helpers to hire any more. I think this riding mower was the last one anywhere. No one has any left. I called one place, and he had 2, but after i looked on line and called him back to say i wanted one, they were already sold! I called this other place never dreaming the actually sold them, but they did and only had one left. No one is getting anymore this year here. So, sure hope it works ok. I watched vids about loading and unloading...wow! Some strange ways, and some, maybe blessed to be alive after! We really need safe ways to do this. I suppose Husqvarna doesn't dare because of sue crazy people. Thanks for your video, it was one that helped me decide.

My old MURRAY (yes MURRY) tractor is 14 years old and it's Briggs and Stratten motor still fires up just fine. I keep a trickle charger on the battery and it's always ready to go. Even after sitting all winter long! I fired it up a few weeks ago and it took right off!!

I also have a Murray Mower,mines a 42 inch cut with a Brigg&Stratton 14.5 horsepower motor.I've had it since 1994 or 95.It's been a good mower but it needs some work done on it.It still runs and cuts grass but I have to constantly check the oil and add about 4 ounces every other time I mow.With it being this Old I wonder if it would be worth fixing or if I would be better off to get a new mower?Just hate to pay $2200 or more for a new 42 inch mower unless I got a Troy built or Craftsman $1900.I'm just guessing that it would cost at least $200-300 to get my Old Murray fixed.Most of this cost would probably be Labor like Always.

Are you still happy with it after 4 years since you made the video? Is there a cruise control? If not, does your foot get tired of holding it in one place? If it doesn't have a cruise control, will hitting a bump cause the ground speed to speed up or slow down momentarily as a result of the bump, or isn't that sensitive?

Hey mate, thanks for this - we're looking for a ride on and went to see Husqvarna this morning along with a couple of other dealers. Until then I was considering a Stiga Estate, the Husqvarna costs more, but spec. wise is definitely a better option and just seems to be a more robust machine. So it'll back to the dealer tomorrow to organise a demo, then all going well, mutually agree to a deal. You should get a commission from Husqvarna !

Have this same model purchased last month (July 2022) from Lowes and it's already shredded the drive belt. Fibers from the belt found all over the underside. I clean the mower of grass clippings after every use, so no lawn clipping buildup or other debris. No idea why it shredded the belt. I can find nothing the belt is rubbing against other than the 4 pulley. Everything under the mower looks like it's where it should be based on the parts diagram in the manuals. Nothing sharp sticking in the way of the belt. Didn't notice the shredding issue until I saw the brake peddle rocking a little forward/backwards while mowing. Any guess what's the problem? Poor quality belt or the factory installed belt was the wrong one and too long?

i just bought the husqvarna yth 21546 --- my problem is it wont start. I put fresh gas in it, charged the battery and the oil level is fine. It cranks good but just wont start? This thing is brand new and ive never been more frustrated. Is there some easy adjustment that can be made or should i return the mower??. I heard huskvarna and John Deere are the two best brands for riding mowers. Is it true that the current Craftsman riding mowers are no longer very good quality because they are no longer affiliated with Sears? Since craftsman lost the backing of sears the quality is no longer there.

Craftsman is made by a company called MTD. Troy Bilt and Cub Cadet are also made by MTD and if you look at them closely they are very similar with things like key switch, hour meter, deck design etc (apart from the color which is red, lighter red, and yellow.) I really see no difference in quality. Husqvarna and John Deere both use Briggs and Stratton engines in most of their mowers as well. And the engine is not made by MTD, it’s made by either Briggs and Stratton or Kohler depending on what model you choose. I would just choose whichever model you like and what engine and deck size you want.

small engines, like lawn mowers have their service intervals measured in hours, not miles. My lawn tractor required its first oil change after 5 hours of use, after that every 50 hours. That gauge will tell you when it is time to do the required service on your mower. The users guide will have a maintenance section where a chart will be to show you what service should be done after so many hours of use. Like changing the oil in your car every 3000 miles or 90 days. it just uses hours instead of miles. Keep on mowing...

What's the purpose of the engine speed? Shouldn't it always be on turtle, unless in choke or if one hasn't started it for a while?

Giving the engine more speed gives the engine more power. For example, if it is low speed and you try to cut the grass 1. The engine is going to suffer a lot because it is not going as fast 2. The cut will be pretty bad since the blades do not move as fast. 3. The mower moves faster and works better overall and the engine cools better which prevents overheating.
