Nice one. Thanks for the video, I'll let you know how the install goes when I get it done

Is there a Torque spec for the 4 bolts that secure the fuel pump extender that bolts into the bottom of the tank. Your video says tight but not too tight...curious if you have an actual torque spec to recommend. I tightened mine to 5nm and that seemed about right but I haven't had a chance to do much riding on it yet, so not sure if that's tight enough to prevent leaks around the gasket.

Hi I'm mounting the tank kit following this video, but I have just two tubes, a black one (from the tank to the switch) and a transparent one (from the air box to the SAS/canister). I need another black fuel gas from the fuel pump to the switch. Where can I find it?
@RADEGARAGE12 жыл бұрын
Hi, the black fuel line has to be cutted in two parts. (Tank -> Petcock, Petcock -> Fuel pump)

Do you need an engine remap with this tank+airbox and an aftermarket exhaust with dB-killer?

No, not required

interesting video and product! but it's not so clear how drill e mount the fuel pump with your additional part and how refill the 2 tanks: if is possible refill just one at time (closing something I guess) or if necessary refill both at same time. Thanks!

Congrats and thanks so much. Great product. Air filter system now is more better ;-)

Instead of a "don't tighten too much or not enough" kind of answer on the fuel pump, how bout you give us a torque number to use? Takes the guess work right out of it.

4 Nm (3 Ibf ft) according to the repair manual for the regular part...

Such a great idea and product, but your installation video is lacking. Maybe make one twice as long with more detail and close-up shots…?

I saw that with the new air filter system you get a few more max horsepower. But without the original huge air filter box how affects to the power and torque curve?? Do you have the graphics please? It would be very helpfull. Thankyou!!!

Hi Alfonso, at first our intention was not to have impact on the engine performance. Our goal was design of the auxiliary tank and that was the reason to work on small airbox. But because we designed the small airbox with advise of experienced engineers the final effect is that the bike with our airbox has more power between 3000-6500 rpm than OEM one. In the very very top the OEM airbox give 2hp more than our small airbox.

Hi there, I’m about to order a tank from you but have a question. The blue aluminium attachment you put on the fuel pump seems to bulge out. Does this effect the suspension travel. I am constantly off road and don’t need something like this braking or impacting on my suspension travel

Multiple install problems with this setup. First is that there is a 1/4" gap between the rear tank bracket and the frame. The bracket is held away from the frame by the plastic "push-through" grommet things that the side-panels snap into. With no spacers between the bracket and the frame, when the bolts are tightened the bracket will be severely deformed. Second, the stock air box has TWO breather hoses attached. One goes forward and the new air box attaches to it. The other tube from the stock box goes down and attaches by the brake master cylinder. Given that the RADE has only one breather hose, what are you supposed to connect the second tube to? It's just dangling in space!! WTF? The written instructions don't mention this and the video doesn't show it. I would appreciate some guidance on both these issues.
@RADEGARAGE15 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, here, here is the explanation: a/ we know about the gap and it is there on purpose - otherwise you would destroy the OEM rubber inserts in the frame. If you tight (not overtight) it holds well. Proved on many races and during over continents adventure journeys. b/ we do supply the T-connection. So you split the supplied transparent tube and from our small airbox one end goes to SAS and second the the crankschaft went - it is described on our website in the pdf manual (article no.5): www.radegarage.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/rade-garage_701_tank_manual_297x210_04.pdf If you have more questions, please send me an email to the rade@radegarage.com cheers Rade
