Husqvarna 701 Speedometer Adjustment

How to adjust the speedometer for wheel size. This will correct the speedometer.

I switched to 17 inch wheels, and the ABS was kicking in when I test rode my 701 Enduro before switching the speedometer, it was quite scary! Changing the circumference fixed this issue, thanks!

Awesome!!!! I have taken mine into the dealer twice and they could not figure out how to do it... I was told they could not do it on a 2016 Endro. It worked great. Thanks Now I just have to get use to the actual speed reading.

Which tire do you measure the circumfrance of, front or rear?

Front tire. That is the tire the speed and distance is measured from.

so is 1870 the circumference for your warp 9 17"s? I have the same kit, so would just input 1870?

1870 would only get you close. It's best to measure your own tires. Start with your bike on a flat surface and make sure your valve stem is down at the lowest point on the rim. Mark the ground with something (tape or a small rock next to the valve stem). Roll the bike straight forward so that the tire makes 1 revolution. Measure the distance on the ground from low valve stem point. That's what you input. It's metric, in millimeters. Hope this helps.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but are you unhooking the wires just to take away power from the display? Could a battery be unhooked to do the same thing? I don't own this bike but do want to own one soon.

I don't think unhooking the battery will work. But I'll give it a try tonight and post back.

@@davidrespect6471 I did try it. You must disconnect the plug. The battery in the instrument cluster supplies a signal to the computer as far as I can tell.

If you have a Husqvarna fe450, dont bother trying there is no option for the tire.

In my 2020 is not neccesary to disconect the speedo to recalibrate.
